Heather Small is absolutely brilliant on this cd. Sounds just as fresh now as when the songs were out.

And finally the original radio versions have been released, remastered (no brickwalled sound) and definitely with a better sound quality compared to the same tracks on the original CD Singles, which were... well, dull.On a previous compilation (The Best of M People) back in 1998, many tracks included were edited versions of the original singles mixes (One night in heaven, Renaissance & Don’t look any further).This is on M People Gold not the case, with one exception... “Search for the hero”!When the single was released back in the 90s, the band had to record a new version, more radio friendly and this specific version was included on the CD Single and used for the Video of the song. Among many differences compared to the Original Album Version, were the choir vocals just before the refrain. And these vocals are missing here!I guess this is an Alternate Radio Mix, at least to me unknown until today.I hope they will include the Original Radio Mix on the forthcoming “Renaissance Box Set”!With only exception this specific track, this is definitely a recommended compilation with all M People hits.

ABSOLUTELY fantastic the 1st CD the tunes & her voice are amazing turn up the bass! The 2nd CD is tame and the last just a remix of some Classic BUT it's worth buying just for the 1st CD19 songs banging tracks 10/10

M people is one of my favourites groups and I like all there music also I have all of there CDs as well

I like the way they packaged this cd all discs come in a cardboard foldout sleev very cool.

A fantastic collection from this class pop dance group. So many wonderful memories. A must have!

Jede Single von 1991 bis 1999 ein Charthit, viele sehr housig, einige soulig. Musik, die man auch heute noch gerne hört. Die Remixe sind grandios und abwechslungsreich. Klasse. Leider trennte sich die Truppe 1999, ab und an gibt es aber noch Konzerte. Und Heather hat ja eine in UK erfolgreiche Solokarriere.
