We’ve tried so many hair products for our very active, curly-headed 5-year-old daughter, and Eco Protein Gel has been one of the best so far. Her fine curls usually get frizzy and unmanageable quickly with other gels, but this one actually keeps her hair in place, even when it’s down and she’s constantly on the move.One of the biggest reasons we love this gel is that it has helped with her hair growth. Our daughter is autistic and has struggled with self-injurious behaviors, including pulling her hair out. Since using this gel, we’ve noticed that her new growth is coming in stronger and healthier. It provides enough hold to keep her curls looking defined without making her hair stiff or crunchy. It also doesn’t flake, which is a huge plus.The only downside—and the reason for my 4-star rating instead of 5—is that the brown gel stains clothing. That part is frustrating, especially when it gets on lighter fabrics. If they could fix that issue, it would be a perfect product for us.Overall, Eco Protein Gel has been a great addition to our haircare routine. It keeps our daughter’s curls looking neat, holds up against her high-energy lifestyle, and has even supported healthier hair growth.
