Affordable and basic Bike travel bag
I purchased this bike bag in December 2023, to use to take my bicycle on a flight from USA to Japan. I’ve never flown with a bike and don’t own one of the more expensive bike bags or cases, like EVOC. This is the first bike travel bag/case I’ve ever purchased. Seeing it listed at about $100 makes it much more affordable than the popular brands, but also seems that the price is higher than other cheaper bags because it is made of better material. And I believe it is. It’s made of a tough, synthetic material on the outside that seemed to protect it from cuts and sharp objects, and from scratches as it was dragged across floors and against other baggage.Inside it is lined with somewhat durable plastic material, it didn’t tear during the flight. However it has minimal padding, and on the side where you place your tires it is layered a bit more, so that side of your bike frame would probably be fine without extra padding, but I purchased a wheel bag and it provided enough padding for me not to worry. On the other side, it does leave you wanting more protection. I packed my bag with a lot of extra cardboard, wrapped the bike in bubble wrap and foam sheets as well. There is an extra strip of padding that attaches to the bottom of the bag for more support, but I don’t think it’s enough to protect the frame or a drivetrain from damage, so I laid more cardboard on the bottom and some extra boxes underneath the bottom bracket so that the bike was not resting it’s entire weight on the chainrings. You must take your bars off, because the bag is only a little wider than 1 foot, but taking your bars off is standard when traveling with a bike so it’s not a problem. There was plenty of space in the bag for my bike, wheels, my helmet, and the crate I use. I have a Topeka MTX rack on the bike and the MTX crate, and there was enough room in the bag to keep the rack on the bike.My bike is only about a 16” size, but the bag is designed to hold up to a 19” bike.It is a big bag, and that’s a plus or minus depending on your airline. The airline I flew with, this bag just barely met the maximum size allowance for bike cases, fortunately it had a different policy for bags and there was no extra charge for oversize baggage. The bag is of course lighter than a hard shell case, but it’s still a little heavy. Total weight was about 25.6kg or between 55-65 pounds. Depending on the weight of your bike, that could get you some extra charges for overweight baggage and that could be small fee of maybe $100+ or it could be more than you paid for your bike (I was told anything over 70lbs would cost me over $700!!). If that’s the case for you it might be better to purchase a hard shell bike case that is TSA approved.Last, to address the issue of the strap links that broke for other reviewers. They have been upgraded as states in the product description, and as more current reviewers have stated. They are metal now, not plastic, and feel quite secure once latched onto the bag or backpack. When I received my bike in Japan however, one of the latching pins on the clip popped off, and upon examination there didn’t seem to be any mechanism or design keeping the pin on except for the inherent spring pressure. It can be takin off easily by hand with a light twist, which makes me think it could accidentally be pulled off in transit without anyone knowing and lost forever, making that clip and possibly the entire strap, useless.I also had a zipper that was destroyed during the flight, possible during loading or maybe it caught on something. I listed photos of the regular zippers, and the front pocket zipper (the zipper which broke). I think the bag could use an extra flap of material to cover that pocket or the zipper at the end so it doesn’t snag on anything. The zippers are made of a beefy amount of metal, but the zipper line is made of plastic. It makes me wish it was made of metal, because I’d hate for the bags to be ripped open along the zipper and become unusable.Overall a good purchase for the price, and does its job well.I used EVOC products to secure the fork, drivetrain and bars inside my bag for extra security and protection.I think ROCKBROS should make insult products to those, as individuals wheel bags, and it would be an incredibly affordable alternative to the expensive cases and bags.I would definitely use this again to travel by train and bus, or to load into a car for a long trip. I may use it to fly with my bike again in the future, but I will also be looking at a better way to add protection to the bike for such trips as well.

Terrible quality
Used this bag Once strap 1 side of the strap broken within 20 secs of picking up the bag with my Dirt Jumper inside then the next later that day and then the others after getting it from the plane. The bag also ripped and this was all just the first time using it I will be returning this bag not happy at all!

Pre trip review
Preflight review. I have a Trek SuperFly 17inch bike packed into the case. plenty of room with wheels removed and handlebars removed. added some extra protection with foam panels around the frame. extra room for helmet and tools could add more. Bag is very good material but no padding is included.Strap clips broke right away. the metal is very brittle. Improvised straps clips with carabineers and zipties for added insurance if the metal loops fail.

Great value.
The bags are well built and the wheel pouches are great. I do wish there were more padding all around.I packed the bag with cardboard and some Styrofoam pieces on the forks and derailleur and wrapped them with bubble wrap.Flew from WV. to Miami, Fl. with no damage. There was obvious signs of handling. The forks poked through the Styrofoam and axles poked though the cardboard I put in the wheel pouches.Overall no damage to either bike. The true test will be our flight back from Key West to Home. We did a ride from Miami though the Keys and couldn't pack the extra packaging with us.Hopefully the hotel has cardboard for packing them up for the flight home.Or we will see if the bag alone will suffice.

So far so good!
I received the bag today, so this initial review will be prior to use. I will be using this bag to transport a 2019 GT Aggressor Pro Large frame 27.5 hard tail mountain bike from Maryland to Florida on an airplane.Bag showed up today and it was shipped without a strap - that blows. Bag seems like a decent product so far. The large frame hard tail mountain bike has plenty of room inside the bag and the 27.5 inch wheels have plenty of room in their storage pockets as well; I don’t think there would be any issue with 29 inch wheels either. There are frame straps and a pocket strap for the wheel pockets to keep everything in place. There is a “card board” insert for the bottom of the bag but I think that I will get some styrofoam to rest the crankset and derailer on and for added protection I plan on wrapping the frame in bubble wrap.Other similar products show people using cardboard to pad their bags but this one has decent padding and it compartmentalizes the wheels so I don’t feel that that will be necessary with this bag.I will update my review post flight to rate the durability of this bag but so far so good!!

Missing parts...
The straps are missing, and unfortunately, Amazon doesn't offer replacements for just the straps. Since I'm preparing for an international flight with my bike, returning the bag and waiting for a replacement isn't an option. I need to set up my bike in the bag as soon as possible. I was very disappointed, as the backpack wasn't cheap and seemed to meet my needs. I should have trusted the bad reviews, as other people also mentioned that the equipment arrived without the straps.
