Q: Can these replace the f32t8/tl850?

They should work. I'm not totally sure what the tl850 number means but I believe the tl8?? is part of the color temperature. TL 700 is warmer color than the TL 800.

Q: Is this shatterproof?

No. These are made of glass and are not shatterproof.

Q: Do these bypass the ballast?

These are fluorescent tubes and require a ballast for operation. If these fluorescent tubes are being replaced with LED tubes, there is a possibility that the ballast can be bypassed. This would depend on what type of LED tube is used. Frank
