I bought a new Hofner ignition beatle bass. New bass had fret buzz on E string on frets 1&2. Took to guitar tech & had truss rod adjusted & pounded down 2 frets. still had buzz on 1st fret. Suggested try new stringsor would need to get fret dress. Bought these La Bella beatle bass strings and wow! no more fret buzz.These strings feel great and sound great. Thank you La Bella for making a great quality product.

Bought these by accident for an Aria clone of the Mosrite short-scale bass. However, they work fine and sound good. Two of the strings are a little long for what I guess is an average short-scale instrument.

I love these strings. Compared to Pyramid strings the LaBella's are much smoother, and slightly darker while still giving you some of that woody tone. Tension is prefect and very easy to play.

At first, I was a little skeptical that these strings would fix some of the issues with my (original) 60's Beatle Bass. I had been running medium scale, flat-wounds for a while on it, but they didn't really fit right. They didn't have the proper taper beyond the nut, so there was a big lump of string around the tuning pegs. This made tuning way too course. My Hofner also had issues with low volume from the D string, and some intonation issues...both of which I never seemed to be able to get rid of. I installed these La Bella strings today. WOW, what an improvement! I could put the D string pick-up pole back down even with the rest, and the string volume is completely consistent now. It was easy to move a couple of the bridge saddles to get the intonation just right all the way up the neck. Couldn't get there before. The tuning is now MUCH more precise, because these strings have the proper taper up beyond the nut, so the tuning is dramatically improved. I never expected a set of strings would make so much of a difference...but these do. Nice, smooth feel to them as well. Very much the "Sir Paul" sound I like as well. Clearly, the folks at La Bella did their homework on these. Now I'll probably buy an extra set, since I'll be playing my Hofner a lot more now. No, this is not a compensated review. I bought my set of strings just like everyone else...never gotten a bass free-bee in my life.

Very good feeling & playing set of strings on my Hofner bass. My first set of flat wound strings & they did not disappoint on sound or playability.Decent value for the money, about in line or slightly more than a decent set of name brand strings. They are not Thomastik, but they aren’t $100 a set either.

Cadeau de Noël.Première fois que j'utilise des flat wounds.Ce ne sera pas la dernière.Un son totalement différent qu'avec des cordes ordinaires.( plus sourd).Avoir su, j'aurais acheter ces cordes avant.Facile a installer.Pour avoir le vrai son Beatles.Très très bon achat!!!Très satisfait.Je recommande fortement!!!
