Purchased this for my son who does quite a bit of soldering for hobby work. Drones, Arduino projects, etc. He has a 45w soldering station but he really likes the 100w LF-2900 by Xytronic much more. With the proper tip it can do delicate soldering up to pretty heavy soldering. I tried his LF-2900 and it is much better than the ancient one I am using...LOL
