Takes out... what the town puts in.
I'm glad the town adds chlorine to our creek water and filters it to some standards. That is fine for it's travel through the miles of pipes to get to my house, (same as everyone else's house in town). But, the added fluorides is just something I don't want in my water at all. Since it's already town water I did not need the sediment filter that rural wells need. It comes with a spanner wrench to get the filter housing open and closed which is nice. The water line hoses are white and plenty long. I did not screw the bracket to the cabinet because the long hoses make bringing it right out front to change filters in the future a real easy task. I had a Britta attached to my faucet before I got this. This is far superior. The water taste fantastic!!!! You will not regret it.

Well Made, No Instructions
The kit arrived without instructions. Manufacturer(s) websites were slim to non-existent. All necessary parts were included as well as 3x the length of hose I needed. Craftmanship was excellent. Assembly was a breeze. First go at it worked and no leaks when I turned the water back on. Just to be sure I used silicone sealant over the connections.I instaled the flouride filter before the particulate filter because I didn't want to risk drinking the aluma-flouride compounds from the filter (the flouride filter works by providing aluminum for the flouride ion to bond to). It seems to work as I do not get the headaches I get when drinking flouridated water. It took me 2.5 hr.s to install it, including drilling the hole in the sink for the spigot. It was a surprisingly straightforward install -albeit without directions. The taste is another thing. It ran dark at first (like the filter manufacturer says it will for the first few gal.s). After running about 5 gal.s thru it the water was clear and tasteless. However, I have to draw a gallon through it before using otherwise the water tastes distinctly metallic. Not a big deal imo and the filter manufacturer says the copper and magnesium is used to prevent bacteria growth in the particulate filter which sounds fine by me. I just have to put a gal or so thru it before drawing water to avoide the metallic taste.Filter capacity is supposedly 3000 gal.s but as our water is clean to begin with I'm hoping to get more than that out of it. Filter websites are on the filter labels for re-ordering so that's a big plus when I need to replace the cartridges. Replacements are aprox. $20.I bought it for removing the flouride. It appears to do that as well as removing any tastes (our water comes from a swamp and tastes like it too). All in all the product is worth it for those times I don't want drag the jugs to the local water filter vending machine.

Fluoride/Chlorine Filter
The product came as advertised. It is wonderful! I am SO happy to finally be able to stop buying-toting-storing gallons upon gallons of drinking water!Installation took about an hour and a half, drilling, plumbing hookups, tightening screws, and what not. (I watched in anticipation lol)After installation I let it run through for a couple of minutes, tried a sip, and then immediately used the chlorine testing strips provided which proved perfect chlorine filtration! The water taste is awesome. No funny smells or tastes, just pure water. You would think you had dipped a cup into a pure mountain spring.I have a 2.5 gallon BPA-free dispenser jug in the fridge (which I also bought from Amazon over a year ago) because I like cold/cool water. So, I filled it right up and I'm all set.

Pretty easy install
I had a little problem looking at the diagram for the faucet. Other than that the install is cut and dry. i have "a little" plumbing experience. Unlike some reviews I saw I didn't find it difficult at all. Probably took about an hour. Would have been less but the location made it difficult. The website does not have any filters available. That would be my only concern but I have 12000 gallons to figure that out.

Removes Arsenic and produces great tasting water. Easy to install.
This unit was easy to install and removes Arsenic from well water. The well water that goes through this unit tastes excellent. I highly recommend this product for drinking water and for treating the water that goes to the ice maker.Excellent quality and easy to install. Comes with everything you need.

Great filter, great company ππ»πΊπΈ
This filter is great. In a city that forces its citizens to drink fluoride it's nice to finally be able to opt out. I installed the filter and I can certainly tell a difference. The water is great but the company is even better. There was a problem when I installed it after working construction for 10 hours prior i got home and decided to install this under the sink so i was exhausted and over tightened the valve and ended up stripping the threads. I emailed Crystal Clear and they were actually very helpful and sent me a replacement first thing. I'm skeptical of things but I can definitely recommend this product and this company.

Great unit for the price!
As mentioned in the previous reviews, the box arrived without any directions, however it's pretty simple to figure out. Plenty of water line supplied for installation. The whole project took about two hours to install. Requires a half inch drill bit for the counter top faucet(not included). After install, the water comes out quite cloudy for a few days, however it clears up after a few minutes. It has to work out all the air in the system. It claims it removes fluoride, which was my main reason for this unit, however without a tester I cannot verify it works as advertised. I would recommend they supply fluoride strips show a decrease in fluoride.Overall, very satisfied and would recommend

unit was easy to install and water is very good
unit was easy to install and water is very good. Our city just recently added fluoride to our water at the demand of the State legislature and we did not want to ingest the fluoride. this filter works great.
