How do you like the desk? I think it looks nice, but there are no reviews. How is the quality - worth $500?

I like the desk very much. It's beautiful and well done. Putting it together is horrible! So many pieces! But worth it. Once put together it is solid. They drawers are good quality and slide smoothly. My ONLY complaint is that the keyboard drawer is too narrow. It will not fit a mouse and the keyboard. I put my mouse on a yoga block that's in the small drawer to the right of the keyboard drawer so the keyboard and the mouse are at the same level. Because the keyboard drawer is narrow, it can feel a little close and constrained; i.e., you can't wiggle around much or change your typing position much. I seem to have adapted to this though. I am happy with the desk.

Can you send me pics of the front side of this desk? As in if a customer were sitting opposite side of me.

I'm sorry but I couldn't find any but did confirm with Sauder that the front or approachable side of the desk is finished.

What color is this desk?

It's black. Kind of difficult to put together by yourself. Once you put it up it doesn't look as it would be fun to move. It comes apart but probably hard to get back together. It is also extremely heavy.

do you have to build it?

Yes, we have to built it. Remember if you start building it for some reason if you want to return they won't accept it. Also for returns you have to take the cost for returns which is almost $160
