I was able to work with this product within minutes. By only changing the baud rate I was able to test it with equipment I keep on my desk. Furthermore, by changing only the IP address it was integrated it into my laboratory setup. It worked immediately. I also like that there are different models with different port configurations. This model has exactly one DB9 and one RJ45 port, which makes it very compact.

I bought two of these. Out of the box, I cannot not change the password on one of them, a prompt to change the password comes up every time I log in on one of the units, I did update the firmware and reset to defaults and reconfigured, no change. The MODBUS Master/Slave setting is non-intuitive, read the manual. SNMP is enabled by default read/write with public/private community as the community strings. I expect these kinds of problems from <$50 devices, not $250+ devices.
