I was a bit disappointed to find these oval hoops as well as the circular ones from this vendor does not have the lip on the inside hoop that tends to 'lock" the aidia cloth for cross stitch. I am constantly tugging the sides of the fabric to make it taught. I did like getting the multiple sizes. I will try to update once the project I'm working on is complete.

These are cheap and you get exactly what is in the picture. However....you get what you pay for. They slip off really easily and I could never get a very tight hold to begin with. I do not recommend these hoops for those reasons, despite them being very large. I will go back to my no slip hoops with proper tightening bolts and nuts. This hoop had a very weak single screw which was odd to me but common on the poorest quality hoops.

These hold your fabric very well. The only unexpected issue was the weight. Yes they are sturdy but the large ones become quite heavy.

Really like the variety of sizes. It is difficult to get the material as tight as I would like even after using a screwdriver, but the shape makes stitching so much easier.

I wanted to love these because I do a lot of embroidery and I prefer the shape to the circular ones. Sadly, I can't. The linen simply doesn't stay in place...I can't close them tight enough so it leaves just enough room for movement to take place. I wish I could love them, but I can't. I'm going to use them as frames, though, so it isn't a total loss.

They are really good at holding fabric taut so you can do stuff to it. And the range of sizes is pretty exceptional. Plus, Amazon offered me $3 to write this, so I'm doin' okay too.

I bought these because the size and shape are perfect to use with my new floor stand to hold mt embroidery projects. The sizes are good and fits well in the clamps. The bad is that they have no lip to hold the fabric so it slides and doesn't hold. I'm constantly pulling and tugging to keep the fabric tight.I'll keep and use until I find something better then the most likely be donated.

These hoops are the perfect size for most embroidery projects. I like them because the entire project is in view and ready to embroider on. Also that you tighten the hoop with a screw driver keeps the material taunt and from moving.
