The best
The NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto Piccolo XS by De’Longhi is a compact and affordable pod coffee machine that offers a variety of beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, and hot chocolate. Its sleek design and small footprint make it ideal for kitchens with limited space. Equipped with a 15-bar pump pressure system, the Piccolo XS delivers coffee shop-style drinks with rich crema. The 0.8-litre water tank is generous for its size, allowing multiple cups before needing a refill. The machine heats up quickly, reducing wait times for your beverage. However, the Piccolo XS operates manually, requiring users to start and stop the water flow, which may lead to inconsistent drink sizes if not monitored carefully. Additionally, its compact design limits the height of mugs that can fit under the spout, making it challenging to use taller glasses. In summary, the NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto Piccolo XS is a stylish and space-saving coffee machine suitable for those seeking variety and convenience. While it lacks some automated features, its performance and affordability make it a worthy consideration for coffee enthusiasts.

Good Coffee machine
I am happy with the look and performance of this coffee machine. It was easy to set up and as it is small it doesn't take up much space in my kitchen. It only takes seconds to get started and makes a lovely morning coffee with the pods that I use. It has an adjustable platform where the cup sits. So far I am happy with the performance and it looks stylish and not bulky like other coffee machines I have previously had.

Compact & Good Value
I picked this up for £29, which I consider a bargain price. Not much bigger than a kettle, but it can produce a wide range of decent quality coffees, including large cups. My only complaint is that the spent pods can't be easily recycled, though there does seem to be a postal option for this, which I'm considering.

Easy Creamy: Dolce Gusto Picollo Coffee Maker
My review is on the efficiency and helpful working details of this particular pod model and includes tips on some extra possibilities. The Dolce Gusto Picollo is very petite and pretty.Notes for this model: It's very easy to use. The water container is enough for two medium cups. It doesn't use the timing code on the pods which means it's not automatic so you must remember to turn it off when it reaches your desired cup level. A tray underneath would be good in case you or an older loved one forget to turn it off. When not in use it shuts off after a minute. It's important that the light is green before you lift the pod lid. After I first plugged it in I thought it wasn't working as the light didn't light up. It only does this AFTER you lift the lid to take out the pod container. It uses a 10a fuse but a 13a is OK. Mine had a three pin plug.Clean it before you start by filling the container with water then pressing the switch to the left for cold water approx. for one cup, stop, then press to the right for hot and fill the cup.I just poured water into the container in situ rather than removing it first. When you do lift off the water container remember to rinse underneath gently so that in time it won't turn green. My photo is a cup of tea from the Gusto. I put TWO t-bags into a reused pod and then poured some milk from the fridge. It was less bitter and I found I used less sugar and milk. However, I did use bottled water as it's supposed to make it tastier and prolong the life of the machine.I also made a Starbucks Cappuccino, and a Nestle hot chocolate. Good froth/crema and hot. The froth is created by a filter and high pressure within the machine: inserting a milk pod creates a froth on the milk; inserting a coffee pod creates a crema.I was thinking about making a bespoke tea cosy for the machine, a cute hat, as the motor was loud but it was quick.Extras: I'm considering buying reusable pods, but they do leak a little. A 'Tamper' is used to pack the grounds evenly for a quality shot - Barista's style. I can't wait to get me one of those! A set of double walled glass mugs would be lovely. You can chose one with handles or without as they are insulated. I can't decide between the stand up pod holder or the drawer type which can be put under the machine. I discovered I can buy cheaper milk pods and hot chocolate pods with generic names on Amazon and save a lot. There are cold fruity pods too. A good idea if you are leaving a cup ready under the machine is to turn it upside down. Wondering too what instant coffee would taste like given the Gusto treatment lol.Soooo many choices since finding this handy little machine. Including p/p and voucher it was only €31.16. My new fav gadget.

Great little space saving coffee maker.
Great little machine ,using pods it delivers a great cup of coffee in no time.Brought to replace my old Jovia machine. My only complaint is the instruction for use could be a lot clearer ,after watching an online video , I discovered how to switch it on and getting it to work ! Simples-I must be thick !

Great Value Coffee Machine.
Having had a previous version of this machine, When that finally gave up the ghost after several years of faithful service, I decided to go with the later version of the same machine. Its basic and simple to use, although it does seem a bit fragile in places. Obviously for the price you have to expect that, but it does the job and is easy to use. Strangely, it doesn't have an on/off switch like my last model, but once plugged in it powers up after the capsule holder is pulled out. I like the Cappucino capsules, but prefer it 50/50 of milk and coffee. That is simple to do as its a manually operated machine which can be stopped at any point by simply moving the top lever back to the central position. Lots of different types of capsules available to suit all tastes, and the coffee is plenty hot enough when dispensed. In summary, a great value machine that does the job just fine.
