Best approach shoes on the market
These approach shoes are incredible. So comfy you forget you are wearing them. The rubber is super grippy and fantastic on multiple types of services. Can wear them all day and your feet will thank you at the end. They are so good that you can easily do low grade rock climbs in these if you don't have climbing shoes on or can't change into them. Used these for hiking, canyoneering, and approaches and have been super happy with them!

Best summer approach shoes ever
These shoes are the best shoes for summer approaches I've ever had. Rubber has excellent grip and I was able to climb many easy routes mainly using these instead of my climbing shoes. They are quite durable, 1st pair I have doesn't show much sign of wear, except for the sole which is completely understandable after frequent 1.5yr use. I also really like that they are comfortable and really breathable. These shoes are not waterproof, which is also something I like about them since they are really light and airy because of that and my foot doesn't . All in all, best summer shoe for climbing approaches. This is my second pair and I also own one GTX (goretex) version, but GTX are worse in my opinion as they get too hot.The only (BIG) dislike is that La Sportiva apparently does not produce this model anymore since they're getting harder and harder to get and I have yet to find a suitable alternative. I'm thinking of buying another pair and putting them on a shelf.

Tough, supportive. not as wide a toe box as some seem to describe
Likes: quality, firm support, solid grip, easy break-inmeh: the color gets old, though plenty of (positive) compliments.Dislikes: needs better arch support ( plan to replace it) and though I like a wide toe box ( though don't have super wide feet) and many commented on the toe box being roomy - not my experience: a tad tight.Hopefully durability is good - I have only had a couple months.

Terrific Hiking and Scrambling Shoe
This is, by far, the best hiking and rock scrambling shoe I've ever owned. It's not perfect for all hikes -- it's not waterproof for one thing -- but for hiking in the desert southwest, it's my shoe of choice. I've only worn it for a short period of time, so I cannot attest to its durability, but I like it so much I've order a second pair in case I can't find them again when this pair wears out.Things I like: light weight, comfortable fit, great traction on rocks, pliable for scrambling, also works well in sand. What I don't like: it's a bit priceyI purchased a 1/2 size larger than my street shoe size to account for thicker hiking socks, plus I wanted a little extra toe room for downhill hiking.

Where trail runner meets hiking boot
I do a lot of hiking in the north Georgia mountains and come from a trail running background. I was finding that my feet were getting really beat up on longer hikes in the traditional trail running shoe. I wanted something with underfoot protection and stability but did not want a full blown boot. Also having solid toe protection is really important as I tend to find every rock, root and stump on the trail.I started looking at approach shoes as they seemed to be where a trail runner meets a hiking boot. I've had two pairs of the TX3s now and couldn't be more pleased with them. The toe protection is 2nd to none. Big bumper that comes up over the front and onto the top of the toe box. Very stable shoe that can handle just about anything. Comfortable enough to wear on 30+ mile day hikes, but still nimble enough for when I want to trot a downhill or flat section. Really good grippy outsole works well on wet and dry rock. The only compromise there is you give up a little bit in longevity as the stickier rubbers tend to go a little faster. That said, it's a worthwhile trade off in my mind to have the good traction.Getting ready to purchase my 3rd pair.

LOVE THESE! Great approach shoe
LOVE THESE! Great approach shoe. Normally, La Sportiva's are too narrow for my feet. These have a roomy toe box that makes these very comfortable to wear all day long. The lacing allows them to be tightened up when you want. Fit seems true-to-size.The soles are very grippy. I use these with confidence canyoneering on polished limestone. The soles are supportive enough to carry weight (6-day trips with technical gear, food, and water) on long days on rugged terrain. The uppers are well constructed and durable--barely any visible wear after 250+ rough miles. The uppers will easily outlast the soles. (The soft rubbers provides great traction, even on wet rock, but it does wear quickly. That is to be fully expected for this category of shoes.Awesome. Love them. Just bought a second pair.

Advance climbers
Firm, well Designed, excellent for hiking that may include some rock scrambling or climbing, takes a little time to break them in, but I love’em. R

Great shoe!!
The immediate feel of this shoe was very unexpected. Most shoes like this that I’ve owned were good when I finally broke them in but these were great right out of the box.The only issue I have with them is that you have to be careful putting them on to not fold the heal down wrong. It folds down under the covering and gets all bunched up. I have had shoes in the past that do this and get permanently disformed and become unusable for hiking.Overall I would buy them again. Also, shop around, these shoes range drastically from one vendor to another.
