I got the monopod, but no tripod. Is there a separate shipment that will have the tripod? Did yours get delivered all at once?

The small three leg base is the tripod. Most of the height is from putting the “monopod” on the 3 leg small base.

Can a different ball head be attached ?

Yes, it has the standard 3/8" female thread along with a couple of insert 3/8" threaded bolts for either male or female threaded standard heads. For example I can fit my Manfrotto 804RC2 head--however at 700g versus 300g for the one this comes with, it adds to the top-heaviness. Also the original neatly fits into the slingbag which not only weighs a lot less than full-size tripod, but is much less of a bore to cart around. This portability is the main reason to buy this one, especially for travel.

With the monopod fully extended and the tripod base set, do you feel comfortable attaching a dslr and walking away or do you think it would fall over?

While this is great value for money the answer is yes and no. In a controlled environment with no extra lens yes. Otherwise get a tripod with wider base for greater stability

What's the minimum folded length of the whole assembled tripod ( tripod + monopod + 3-way swivel pan head) ? thanks

This tripod is 28 in high with all legs in the stored position and no camera on it. But it does split in the center for storage in a bag that comes with it.
