I live in the US, and wear a size 34 waist in pants. If I actually take a tape measure to my waist it's about 36" in circumference. I ordered the size 36 lederhosen, and they were at least 2 inches too big in the waist. My advice for US buyers would be too ignore what the tape measure around your waist says, and just order the same size you wear in pants.

I've never owned lederhosen, before, so I have no idea what to expect, but this seems like a high-quality item. They're amazingly heavy, and all the stitching looks good. It does seem like there should have been some sort of accessory to hold the crossing straps together on my back, but they work without one. I haven't worn them extensively, yet, so only time will tell how well they hold up.

Wearing this today for my school's "International Day" It's a huge hit! I'm 6'8" and 225 pds, I usually wear pants with a waste at 38-40. These have a little tie in the back for adjusting the waste. However, mine came as the shorter shorts rather than what the picture showed over the knee. However, I didn't have time to do an exchange before today so I decided to keep them.

The lederhosen fit perfectly and is definitely authentic. I wear size 33 pants and the 34 was a great fit. High quality leather and surprisingly comfortable.The one problem was that one of the back buttons that the suspenders attach on broke off the first time I put the lederhosen on, before i even tightened it to fit. Thankfully it came with an extra button, however that one also broke after only a few hours of use

Super high quality with stunning embroidery. Very, very good costume or fun random outfit to go out in. Lots of compliments!

Fit expected, 31-32 inch waist, got a 48. Fit like a US 33. Authentic and good quality will last! Ones at Oktoberfest are either very poor quality and 150-200 or good ones for 500-1500. Very warm and comfortable, very heavy.

Great quality ordered two sizes up suggested by reading through the other reviews and two sizes bigger than what you normally are fit perfect! Thanks for all of the suggestions!

Extremely pleased with this purchase - exactly as advertised. Great quality leather and very comfortable. I ordered an EU48 and it fits my 32in waist perfectly, with room to tighten/expand as the night progresses.If only it was socially acceptable to wear these little blighters every day; although I have no idea how you wash them!

Really good quality item but was probably a 28 or 30 uk waist size so I couldn't even get it up my legs as I am a 36 inch waist - product definitely needs to be more user friendly with the U.K. Sizing if they want to sell it over here as it wasn't clear although I did purchase in a rush for the cancelled uk Oktoberfest but the garment is a quality item

Ordered these for a fancy dress night out and was impressed by how realistic they are! Genuine article made with quality leather and would highly recommend. You might need to find excuses to wear these more than once though!

Quality is good for the price.I'm a 34 inch waist, I initially ordered 48 but they were way too tight so I went up to 52 and they fit fine, actually with a bit of room (which I prefer) so if you prefer a snugger fit, go for a 50.I'd wear them in before you go to Oktoberfest, I found they took some getting used to!
