Two in one
Bought for my grandson who’s average height and lean and he just loves these pants. He wears them two days in a row puts into dirty and as soon as washed they’re right back on! He said to his dad, “these pants feel like the wind goes through them!” So a 5 yo was able to feel that feature. They look like will be durable, come with a belt, the bottom zips off and make into a pair of shorts. Durable, great fit, perfect for sunburn deterrent on legs. Won’t go wrong with this purchased

Things to know about the pants
The size we bought runs on the longer size for age 11, which is ok because my son is on the shorter size for his age and can grow into them. We bought these for BSA use. The material is thinner, which works well for warmer events in scouts. The belt is a one size fits all, which is ok (son is on the skinnier side as well), but you'll end up with a lot of length leftover as the size of the belt is far to long for the size of the waist on the pants. I would recommend going a size down if you notice your child to be on the shorter size of his age group though. The zip off legs to convert to shorts is a wonderful feature.

A grandson love him, but does zipper on the legs broke after his third time wearing them was not happy as they were for school

Perfect for Boy Scouts!
Perfect for Boy Scouts! My son is a brand new scout and was looking for something to get started with without having to buy the official Scout pants. These are perfect. Color is perfect to match BSA, zippers on the shorts are well made and zip easily. They are a perfect thickness for spring, summer, and fall. I could see that they may be a little thin for winter but we'll see. Overall my son said they are comfortable and he is pleased, which is saying something since he is a little picky with his clothes.

Chinese sizes
They're cheap Chinese pants which is fine I suppose. However the sizing is about a size and a half smaller than listed in my experience. The color and such were true to pictures, and the fabric is a thin wicking ripstop style that keeps the pants lightweight and airy. Wouldn't could on them lasting more than a year with a rough and tumble boy.
