Biggest concern I had was this thing breaking. So when 1 day after install it started clicking (gears slipping when it opened and closed) I went back to the seller. They immediately replaced it with a new one and the new one has been working perfectly for about 3 weeks now. If it lasts more than a year I'll be very happy. Anything with plastic gears and moving parts is suspect but I do hope it lasts because otherwise it is the best thing I've used. Very easy to use, just like the videos show.

This item is good to have, it holds your phone up and charges it. I myself get lost a lot so I have to use maps, I’m like if Christopher Columbus existed in the 21st century. This item has its flaw tho and that’s how sometimes the flaps don’t open and you have to slightly jiggle it so the censors tell it to open, but other than that, an awesome device, have had it for a while

I have had this for six years now I bought it in 2020 and it is working awesome. The only issue is it’s a little bit slow to release my phone if I want to take a picture of something real quick when I’m driving by other than that, I would totally recommend would purchase again for my other cars

I’m not sure if mine is simply faulty or this is how all of these behave... The package and the product looks great, it mounts great and easy on the air vent. It also charged well wirelessly for the couple of minutes I was able put my phone in the charger.. it started by not opening by touch, or it did it very inconsistently. I managed to open it once and placed my phone in the cradle, it started charging immediately and worked until the end of my short trip. I wasn’t able to get it to open up again and had to pry my phone out. This was already upsetting enough, but the next day it was even worse, as it continued to be unresponsive to touch, but started opening and closing as my hand passed nearby (without touching it) as I turned the steering wheel. It opened and closed without giving me any control. I’m returning it as it is completely unusable. Even if I could get it to grab and hold my phone, it would leave and drop it at a movement of the steering wheel.

I wasn’t happy with it, it charged to slow. It was only a 10w and I needed something that charged faster. I used it one time and it’s in Mr drawer.

Granddaughter just got her first car. Seems it needs lots of improvements. We needed a trash can , lighted discs for the cup holders(?), a steering wheel cover, a frame for her license plate, a vanity plate and frame for the front, and especially a phone holder/charger that attaches to a vent so that she can quickly see who is calling/texting, etc. You get the picture. It turns out that the phone holder is really a neat gadget. It attaches securely to the vent. It releases the phone with a touch. And she's not fumbling to get her phone when she needs it. The phone is right in front of her, not on the console or the floor. And she can use the phone while it's still in the holder (while she's stopped at the side of the road). Now only wish the trash would get into the new trash can.

I bought this wireless car charger almost 3 years ago and it is still working perfectly! I charge my iPhone 8 Plus with it. I have this charger mounted to my A/C vent and it holds very well and steady to the vent. My iPhone fits perfectly, but it could also hold larger phones. I enjoy the convenience of how there is a sensor that detects when you put your phone close to it and the arms automatically open then lock to your phone firmly. It is also very easy to make the arms open to remove your phone by lightly swiping a finger across a sensor located at the top of the charger. I highly recommend this wireless car phone charger to all customers.

Bought for my boyfriend for Christmas, he used it in his Prius and loved it for the first few days... But today, the arms started to make this loud clicking noise when opening and closing and the mechanical operation is no longer smooth. Right before it gets all the way open to hold the phone, it makes a noise, as well as when it begins to close. It sounds like a plastic gear is grinding or getting stuck. This product was in use for less than a week before this started happening. His “commute” to work is less than five minutes down a straight road, so it’s not like this thing was subjected to any excessive use, hard turns, or rough roads that would have damaged the arms. While I do think the design of this charger is interesting, I would not recommend this product to others as I think it is going to break and become unusable very soon (if we don’t return it before that happens). Update: it broke completely after two months of use. The mount broke and the arms stopped moving.
