Old Testament
Ok, let's begin by stating what these are NOT. These are NOT comfortable, stand on your feet all day, hard construction work boots. There are hundreds of other options I would encourage you to try if you are looking for a true, modern work boot. Modern soles will last longer. Modern insoles will be more comfortable. Steel toes will protect you. Certain soles will be rated for electrical safety, etc. These are NOT those boots. So what are they? They are old school. They are what your grandfather would have bought in the downtown department store in the 50's. If they were a Biblical verse, they would be Old Testament. They are leather construction, leather lined toe, leather insole boots with an outer sole that can be replaced when needed. This is a hard, tough boot that WILL take time to mold to your foot. Buy something snug with room in the toes and let them destroy your feet for a short while. It will pay off. Mine were a tad snug, but already feel pretty good out of the box and get better each day.I typically wear an 11.5 to 12 in most shoes. I saw these ran large and went with an 11. Pretty perfect fit for me. If you know what you want and have time to try 2 or 3 pairs on, that's fine. If you are unsure and want it done right, find a good local retailer and purchase them there. You are paying retail for their expertise and assistance. Also, these are made in the USA and you are paying a premium for that. I've also seen a few reviews where people complain about the sole wearing out too fast. That doesn't surprise me at all. They're pretty soft on the edges and don't look like they would hold up under a lot of abrasive surfaces under your feet. I plan on swapping these out as soon as I wear them down. You could go with a harder wearing sole at that point and have boots that will last years until the next sole is needed. The uppers alone are worth the price for the quality of construction. They are made from a beautiful leather with a nice hand. They can be cleaned and reconditioned over the years. This is not a leather sneaker styled like a boot and then farmed out to the lowest bidder. This is an old school, handmade, hard wearing leather upper that will definitely last longer than the stock soles and most likely outlast the replacement soles as well. Also, some people got very old boots, possibly even factory seconds. Different sellers have different items. I got very lucky with a good price on boots that were only a couple of months old. If you get a pair that are years old, or have some issues, well that's what prime returns are for.

Amazing boots - worthy of your money (*edit 6mo* these are priceless)
definitely buy half a size to a full size lower than your current shoe size. the quality is unlike any other shoe/boot ive ever seen, but i come from a family that buys cheap shoes to "save money" I believe spending more for quality that will outlast cheap shoes by many years will be much cheaper. i got mine on sale for $185 so all around an amazing deal for something i hope will last many many years with proper care and maintenance. they are a bit stiff but from my research it takes a bit of time to break in and have the leather soles mold to your feet, so ill update my review after awhile of wearing them.I work at target so the main usage is logistics/retail working. the truck is very hard on clothing but not as hard as a job that these type of boots were made for. (Like construction or similar job) it feels good to be working and making my own money to make the decision to purchase quality items. i always do a lot of research before spending a large amount of money on something, as anyone should do.Update: few weeks later the shoes are comfortable with thick socks, I recommend the thickest red wing socks, makes a huge difference in comfort. Besides some scuffs the shoes are still amazing. I've conditioned the leather and they look amazing. Ill add a picture of them after wearing for a few weeks.Update: about 6 months later. I couldn't br happier with how they hold together even with how they get beat up every single day. Ill add a picture, and just remember this is after 6 months of a lot of abuse..

Great Boots
I never wrote a review before, but I wanted to help others with sizing. First off, if you looking at these boots, just pull the trigger. You will not be disappointed. I saved about $80 buying them on Amazon, rather than buying at the Red Wing store. I wear the boots occasionally (2-3 times per week in the winter) and they are finally broken in after 10 months. As far as the sizing; I returned two pairs and the third was finally good. I am a 12 in New Balance, Nike and Merrel sneakers. I occasionally buy New Balnce sneakers for work in 2E, just because Iโm on my feet all day. In the Red Wings I was swimming in a 12 2E. The 11 2Eโs were better but after wearing in the house for a few hours they were still too wide as the leather slightly stretched. The 11 D is a perfect fit. They felt a little narrow at the beginning, but are perfect now that they are broken in. Hope this helps others.

Love em!
Fit first, Im 11D and 10.5D fits perfect. If you want to roll with inserts then get your normal size. If you like the leather footbed go down 1/2 size to start.Man are these some good looking boots! Comfy too. They blow iron rangers away on comfort. Once broken in these will go in the rotation of my work boots (iron rangers and beckmans). I got the 875's and must say the color is noice!! Just got em so if anything changes i will update

IM like between a 10
Maybe just a HAIR big but not much. IM like between a 10.5 an 11 so i always go with an 11 and add a insole. I've worn the red wing moc toe for years. It is a very comfortable boot once broke in. Red wing is always quality every time. The key to breaking them in is.. imo anyways, is to NOT lace them all they way up to the top And Don't pull the laces so tight on your feet. I've heard and seen online of people soaking them in water? wtf? its top grade nice hard leather not cotton. They're suppose to be stiff when you get them. Man up and wear them. I wear them from 5am on the job till 6pm every day. Your feet will thank you for buying a quality boot. Once they are broken in they feel like slippers. The comfort comes from the soles. NOW that being said, these soles DO not last that long. I can probably get 6 to 8 months out of them and then i just take them to my local red wing store to get soled for 65.00. To me it makes sense because then you already have a broken in pair of boots with brand new soles!
