New Look Sewing Pattern 6843 Misses Skirts, Size A (8-10-12-14-16-18)

I am very happy with this pattern. I don't live near a fabric store so it's easier for me to order patterns online at Amazon or other online fabric stores.

I made this skirt for my daughter as one of my YT videos. It is true to size if you use the correct seam allowances and follow the guides for ease. I made View A and I used a plaid fabric so my waistband was cut diagonally. I did not have any issues sewing this skirt and it fits perfectly.

Skirt was pretty easy for this beginner to put together. Very happy with it.

Made 2 for myself and daughter in law had to add to waist band only do1/4 inch seams and no darts on both and just fit us just barely!

Excellent and practical pattern, a basic necessity for a home or professional sewer.

The pattern was either mislabeled or some other error was made in the packaging. I ordered the 8-18 size and cut and made for size 14. It was NOT a size 14 but more like a size 6. I checked to make sure I cut correctly, which I did. No way was it labeled correctly or marked correctly. I will not buy this product again.

Pattern is very simple and runs true to measurements listed. My only issue is with the waistband. I have sewn this pattern up twice and the waistband at the width they have you cut it will not sew up as instructed. Don't be afraid to cut the waistband twice as wide, if you want their instructions to work, or make it up as you go along. I have had to improvise both times and while the results aren't perfect, it is workable. Great pattern for using up small cuts of fabric that aren't long enough to work up into anything else.

Habe das Schnittmuster als Geschenk für meine Tochter gekauft, und wir haben gestern einen Rock genäht. Anleitung ist hauptsächlich auf Englisch und mit schwer zu durchschauenden piktografischen Darstellungen. Nichts für Anfänger, obwohl ja "easy" auf der Packung steht. Ich bin auch nachdem der Rock fast fertig ist nicht sicher, ob beim Zuschneiden des Stoffes Nahtzugaben vorgesehen sind oder nicht... Für Menschen mit mehr Näherfahrung aber sicherlich ein guter Kauf.

searching for hours in the city centre for a skirt pattern, who knew it would be so difficult to find, not only have I found a new place to purchase them the pattern is clear, good quality pattern paper & clear instructions & a very good price.

Lovely skirt patterns however be warned sewing pattern sizes are completely different to clothing sizes on the high street. I'm a size 12 on the high street and on the pattern a size 18. Please look at the back and measure yourself before buying any pattern for that matter! I'm new again to sewing so wanted an easy pattern and I'm not finding this to be too difficult to read and follow. It's definitely taken me longer then a couple hours to make.
