May bleed red sap in some cases - do not be alarmed!
I got these to go in Christmas packages and washed them before wrapping - was surprised to see that the water started running red. At first I thought these were treated with some kind of ink or dye, but the seller let me know that the kind of wood these are made of produces a red sap in some instances and that it is perfectly natural and safe. I asked some follow up questions about the tree and the seller really taught me a lot, even sent pictures! Very educational - and now I have more information to share with my friends about their gift. Only thing is that their shine and luster wore off after washing, but they are still pretty.

Beautiful wood and fine craftsmanship
These appear to be hand crafted, each piece unique, yet similar, in size, shape and wood grain. Though these are not as smooth in finish or handles same shape as those shown in seller's image, they are still beautiful, sturdy and very useful. I can appreciate and would like to support the family business that produced these very fine spreaders.

Don't put in the dishwasher
Beautiful little knives. Just wish they had warned you not to put in the dishwasher. The beautiful finish is gone. Still pretty though.

Total rip-off.,
Was waiting for these , finally received them , First swipe of Butter and handle snaps in half ! Poor quality,thin ,tiny and false advertising!!!! Very upsetting ……do not order this crap !!!!

Great Company - True to their word
They are beautiful. I want to thank the owners of this company. My original order was taken out of the shipping bag and arrived empty. The owners told me they would make it right and they sent me another order and it arrived today. These are very nice. Great for cheese spreaders, butter or jam or whatever you need. Love them.

handles insubstantial
Pros: very nice wood, nicely finished. Color as shown - reminds me of nice cherry wood furniture.Cons: these are cut/carved from a 1/6" thick 'board', so while they are maybe 2x thicker than a popsicle stick, the handles are flat, feather-light and give the same feel to my hand as similar disposable wood utensils.They would be so much nicer if similar thickness of wood were laminated on both sides of the handle and rounded smooth.Conclusion: an amazon three star rating = "it's OK"

Nice shape and not too thin.
Attractive and seem sturdy. Wood not as varied as photo, though.Happy with purchase.
