uxcell FFC FPC 20 Pin 0.5mm 1mm Pitch to DIP 2.0mm PCB Converter Board Couple Extend Adapter

I'm using these on an open auto pro setup for Raspberry Pi, which doesn't leave a lot of room for a standard HDMI cable. Additionally, I'm using a display that doesn't work with the standard brightness control for open auto Pro OS. These boards allow me to break out the I2c connection on the HDMI and connect it directly to the pins on the Raspberry Pi so I can control the brightness. These boards pair well with the 50 pin ribbon connectors and HDMI connectors (pictured) which are sold by chenyang here on Amazon but can also be found at Adafruit and AliExpress. They work great right out of the box with no issues. Obviously, you have to be careful with the locking tab, but they do feel sturdy and secure.

It did what I needed it to do. It makes a solid connection to a ribbon, and it can't be easily tugged loose. The only trouble I had was figuring out that the clamp is on a hinge rather than being a pull-out type. I'm embarrassed to say that took me more than a minute to figure out, especially since the product description here points that out!

If you 3 of these with male header pins and solder all parts together you are able to split an hdmi signal which is really neat. If you are planning on doing this I recommend using the 0.5mm as it leads to smaller builds but i had to cut off the other side. Also make sure that all of the numbers are aligned or you will potentially damage your build.
