After spending way too long looking at soap, these had about the lowest cost per ounce (and I'd toyed with ordering them before) so i picked up both variety packs...because I could be bothered to make a decision. Your actual scents may vary. The soap all kind of smelled the same from being packaged together, so after separating them, I chose the oud scent to try out first. Melted it into my shaving cup last night to get it ready for today...and it made my kitchen smell amazing. Anyway, it lathers up amazingly well. Nice shave...no irritation. And did I mention how good it smells? I've been shaving daily for 30 years (occupational requirements) and I'd readily recommend these soaps.

I purchased the assortment pack that includes Bergamot, Sweet Tobacco, Majestic Oud, and Spiced Vanilla scents, and I'm thoroughly impressed with the entire collection. Viking Revolution Shaving Soap smells fantastic and lathers like it was forged for actual warriors. This stuff loads fast, builds a rich foam, and gives a smooth shave without drying out my face. Paired with a brush and bowl, it feels like a proper old school ritual instead of a rushed morning chore. The scent is clean, masculine, and strong enough to notice without being overpowering. Great glide, great cushion, and excellent value. If you are shaving a real Viking beard or just trying to feel like one, this soap delivers. Five stars

My husband wanted these for himself, but I've used them even more than he has. They smell great and they last so long! They're perfect for shaving. They give a great lather and leave your skin feeling so soft and smooth!

I had minor issues initially with these shaving soaps, but I have to tell you that I have never seen such attentive customer service on any product on Amazon that compares at all to the care this company takes about its product. I have come around to respecting the product line for this as well as its shaving qualities. Four soaps came in the pack. I liked the scent of three and I am gifting the fourth one to someone who is just getting into wet shaving with a double edge safety razor. I use a Merkur R89 on most days, which has replaced my Edwin Jagger DE as go to razor and when I have the luxury of some extra time, I alternate between a Feather Artist Club and three straight edge razors, a Thiers Issard Spanish Point, a Dovo Bismark, and a Ralf Aust custom designed razor. I have been using fine shaving instruments for about 12 years now. On to the soap ... they all foam up to a good consistency which in every case with the above hardware, provides good glide, cushion and protection. I have yet to nick myself using this soap. There are eight different flavors so you are bound to find something to your liking. The scents are nice and do not linger, so if you want something that will not conflict with colognes, aftershaves and even deodorants, these are a good choice. At first the pucks seemed to go quickly but I realized I was just applying too much soap. A little bit of these pucks goes a long way and I was throwing away a lot of good foam at the beginning, or rather I used the foam to exfoliate my entire face with the leftovers. Now, I just use less. The last item I'd like to comment on is the price. Shaving soaps run the gamut in pricing and you can burn funds quickly purchasing some of them. Viking, however, is priced very reasonably, so that there is little excuse for not having these as part of your regular shaving arsenal. Nothing special. Scents are ok. But I think I can use the wilkinson sword shaving soap just as well after these run out. Not good enough to purchase again but not gonna throw them out. Get them to lather well enough.

These all have a very good scent and they lather well.
