Worth the purchase
If Toyota made fishing reels this would be the Corolla. Basic, reliable, and quality. I love the thing. It is as reliable as my two Penn reels.

Excellent reel for the price
Excellent reel for the price. It feels smooth when casting and retrieving, and the Shimano quality is evident from the first use. Very satisfied with the purchase. I love this reel; I don't need a high-end one if I have this one.

I love this reel.
The Sienna casts wonderfully and the retrieval is so smooth you won't believe it. The drag is responsive and feels perfect. The bale is so easy to set using the handle that I occasionally mash my fingers, but that's user error. I like it this way, anyway, because it helps me with my finesse fishing. I've run it with light line (4lb mono) and average-strength (12lb mono) and I saw no negatives with either. I'd love to get a spare spool for it so I can have multiple on the ready. Yet to run into a negative feature on this reel, which is surprising to me.

Great Budget Option
I bought two of these, the 1000 and the 3000 for my short and long fishing rods. I was really impressed with the casting distance of the 3000 reel. Both reels perform as expected and the action is smooth with no glitches thus far. They also have a really nice look to them. Of the two, I like the 3000 the best, hands down. It's a good value for the money overall and I would highly recommend these reels as a budget option.
