Comparison Review Between Earos One, Earasers & Eargasm ear plugs
So let me start this out by saying that these are my now third pair of high fidelity ear plugs that I have owned, and have by far been my most favorite of the three. For anyone on the verge of deciding between Earos One, Earasers, or Eargasm ear plugs, I would highly recommend the Earos overall. I will do this review in "list" style outlining my experiences with each brand, starting with my least liked and working up to the Earos. Before starting this though, I would like to mention that I have a high end high-fidelity audio system setup in my car, which has the ability to hit 130+dB (No I do not listen to it this loud at all times) (ALSO, if you have a car that can hit these volumes, save it for the country roads. Don't be THAT guy in the city). This car is my daily driver, and obviously at those levels, hearing protection is more than needed. I have gone on multiple roadtrips that have been 10+ hours in a single drive and have had plenty of time to get a well rounded opinion for each of these brands.Eargasm Earplugs: (First pair of earplugs owned)• Comfortability: Overall I would give these earplugs a 6/10 when wearing them for extended periods of time. Though the style of plug is similar to that of the Earos, either the material or size of the plugs seemed to really wear my ears out after long periods of use. I suppose fatigued may be a good word to use for it, but at the end of it all, my ears would be left feeling sore and sometimes even caused me to have a headache.• Sound Quality: Though they did exactly what they were intended to do in terms of dB reduction, I have noticed that some of the more subtle notes in songs, as well as higher mid-range pitches started to become muddled and mixed together with other frequencies. When these were my first pair, it wasn't something that I had noticed due to the lack of having anything to compare them to.• Price: These are definitely the cheapest pair out of the three mentioned, but the price point seems to coincide with the quality of product. These are still great ear plugs, and wearing them versus nothing at all is definitely a more preferred option. But, if you are able to, I would say the Earos would be a much better investment. ( I just searched for them on Amazon and saw them going for 35, and all that I can say is yikes! These were 25 when I had first purchased them, and I would NOT pay more than that for another pair. I would go as far to say that you would have a much better experience between the Earasers and/or Earos)• Overall Score for Eargasm 6.5-7/10Earaser Earplugs: (Second pair that I owned)• Comfortability: The Earasers come in at a solid second of the three pairs. The comfortability was definitely much better for long term use when compared with the Eargasms. I attribute this to the unique mold design that they use for each ear plug, conforming to the standard shape of the inside walls of your ear. I was able to wear these for quite some periods of time, but still had noticed a bit of fatique in my ears after a few hours.• Soung Quality: The sound quality of the Earasers was most definitely better than the Eargasms, and much more range in songs could be heard. Frequencies didn't seem to become as muddled as they once were, and I was even able to notice new parts of songs that I hadn't realized were there before, as they were being overpowered by other frequencies.• Price: Coming in at a solid 39.99, these are exactly 1 cent cheaper than the current (04/03/2020) price of the Earos One. IMO, If that penny isn't a sink or swim deciding factor, go with the Earos!•Overall Score for Earasers: 8/10And last, but most definitely not least. The Earos One Ear Plugs. What peaked my interest with these earplugs was the fact that they were developed hand in hand with the Acoustics Lab at MIT. The product that they came out with due to this collaboration does not fall short of what it delivers!•Comfortability: So far, I have only had the opportunity to wear these for about a continuous hour and a half. While that is a much shorter amount of time than what I had spent wearing the other two brands, I have already noticed how it doesn't even feel like I'm wearing them. The ability to "lock" them in your ear is huge in my opinion, as I would have to adjust the other two brands at multiple times. I also listen to a fair amount of Headbanger music, and I would always constantly worry about them falling out or becoming loose while I was dancing. I can honestly say that I don't have that fear when I'm wearing the Earos One Plugs. They fit tightly enough that any kind of movement over time seems to be non-existent, but snug enough that they don't cause pain from pressure.• Sound Quality: The research done with the Acoustics Team at MIT shows quite prominently in this category. It isn't just marketing when the mention hearing the full range spectrum of acoustics while wearing these. I have once again discovered parts of a track that I had not yet noticed, and have been able to hear some of my old music in a completely new light. I have also noticed that these have been the front runner of the three in sound reduction. There were still times where my system would be too loud when wearing the Eargasm or Earasers. Maybe that was due to lacking as good of a seal as the Earos One provides, or maybe it was because of the quality of build, but I have yet to hit that point with these bad boys in.• Price: At $40 dollars, these are the most expensive (BY ONE PENNY) but are worth every single cent. I am beyond impressed by these ear plugs, and will be recommending them to all of my friends (Festy Fam). Do yourself a huge favor and give these a try.• Overall Score for Earos One: 10/10

Does the job. Better value than the higher end ones which do the same thing.

Updated Review with Detailed Observations.
This is an updated review, written after I had had a chance to use them at a wedding with loud music. When I had first received them, I noticed that the packaging and the appearance of the earos was superior, as befits the $40 price tag. They came on time, as promised. Underneath everything in the innovative, classy-looking, cardboard box (concealed by a black piece of dense foam in which the earos were nicely placed, along with the pair of larger ear-tips) was a flat envelope with simple, pictorial directions and a little black pouch with a spring closing to carry them in. The purpose of the larger pair of ear-tips was that they could be used in case the ear was not completely closed off by the smaller pair. I tried the larger ear tips, and I found that they were uncomfortable to wear, after a while. So I returned to the smaller ones.I had bought the earos, because I had hoped that they would make it easier to live with the noise made by the many children who live in the apartment upstairs, and also by someone I live with who likes to think out loud and to talk to me or to others, even if I am doing something that I do daily, that requires a quiet environment. I found the Earos to be insufficient for that purpose, which was much better served by wearing a pair of noise-cancelling "earmuffs" which I purchased for $14.Nevertheless, I found the design of the Earos to be intriguing and their comfort to be superior to both the bulky and tight earmuffs that made the world much more quiet and the soft foam rubber earplugs that are rated to eliminate around 30 db of noise, as compared with the 17 db rating of the Earos. But I could tell that they do "something" (even though I'm not sure what), and I was intrigued enough to hold onto them and see if they really made it possible to hear conversation during loud music at a wedding! The short answer is that I did not find it possible to hear conversation at the wedding, but I found that earos stayed in very securely (unlike any foam earplugs that I have ever used) and did reduce the volume of the music enough to make the level bearable. I did find that they needed some cleaning after use, to remove earwax, and I did not know how to do it.I wrote a query immediately, and the seller responded the same day, which I appreciated very much. He said that ideally, each time I use them, I should pull off the ear-tips after use and clean them with a damp cloth or q-tip. The first time I did this, I discovered that the ear-tips were softer than I had thought, and that what held them in place was a black tube with a slight depression at the end. It was fairly difficult to remove the ear-tips from the black tube and to replace it after cleaning. Leaving the black tube a little damp helps. The wax came off quite easily, for the most part. Nevertheless, I needed to use tweezers to remove a bit of it, each time. I plan to try to get q-tips, because they ought to work a little more easily than the thin, knit cotton material that I dampened in my first attempt to clean out the wax.It was surprisingly easy to learn to put the earos in, right out of the box. They were at least as comfortable as foam ear plugs and felt much more secure. If I was lying down on my back, they were only very slightly uncomfortable, in contrast to the foam plugs, which cut off sound when properly inserted, but which do not seem secure and are certainly not flat against the ear, as earos are.Yesterday, when I first tried them, my husband was sleeping in the other bed in our room. I noticed that his breathing seemed inaudible (which is the case more often then not). However, after I got tired (psychologically) of wearing them (they were not physically uncomfortable, but I did not see a whiz-bang difference in the way the environment sounded to me), I took them out and immediately noticed that my husband's breathing was--yes--noisy, only I had not heard it, because of the earos! That surprised me. My conclusion is that it is too soon to tell if they will be useful to me. To be honest, I have not used them for sleeping since then. I have been concentrating on ignoring nighttime sounds that are unnecessary for me to focus on, and that has been working very well.I did originally buy them because something I saw online had a picture of a guy in pj's who was saying that he could sleep because of them. I abandoned that intention before coming to a conclusion. In any case, I hope that I do turn out to find them useful! The design is so intelligent and they are so astonishingly easy to use, compared with the foam ones, that I want to love them. So I can't give an unbiased review! Personally, I'd rather have secure ear plugs that are reasonably comfortable than have somehat greater sound reduction at the cost of having to use ugly plugs that look and feel as if they are working their way out of my ears.

Good at sound proofing, but aren't the comfiest
I'd read that the EAROS ONE are the best on a budget for ear plugs, so I figured I'd give them a shot. While the do a decent job of blocking the sound, they have some issues. First: they don't fit into my ears easily. It takes a bit of pulling on my ear lobe and tugging/twisting at the ear plug to get the suction working. Two: They're just not comfortable. I wore them at band practice a few times and they're not nearly as comfy as a cheaper pair that I have (which are also much easier to put in). After about 10 minutes I have to take them out to give my ears a break, which then means I have to fight to put them back in (see issue 1). I'm happy I bought them on sale, because if I bought them at full list price, I'd be a little disappointed.
