Is this a junk product? Is the reading so inaccurate?

I purchased this kit back in April 2022.  Been checking my glucose values at home since. It wold read in the 142-151 mg/dl constantly. FINALLY...I went to the doctors for an annual checkup today, (Dec 27, 2022), and while I was still on day two of a two day fast, my at home kit here, Auvon, was again showing me at 139 mg/dl, and after visiting the doctors office, and having a blood draw, the doctors lab, (it's a lab in University Hospital), comes back with a glucose value of 69 mg/dl. What the he....ck?  No, I think this thing is worthless as all get out. I should know better, and not buy medical devices OF ANY KIND that come from China.

Hi. i understand that this doesn’t include control solutions. do i need control solutions to use it, or can i use it effectively without them?

How long can the stip last? The expiration date on package is 03/2023 but glucose monitor is not working even after changing a new battery.

Thanks for your question. If the bottle of the test strips is never opened, it is suggested to refer to the expiration date on the bottle. Once a bottle of the test strips is opened, the shelf life of the test strips is 3 months and test strips need to be sealed to the store.
