Not the cheapest, but rock solid and great voltage flexibility.
Works perfectly. Flashed four ESP8285 devices with ESPHome the first day I got it and had absolutely no problems. I bought a cheap programmer directly from a Chinese reseller website and spent hours debugging issues before I concluded it was a bad programmer; this FTDI adapter immediately fixed my issue. Worked without additional configuration when plugged into my laptop running Bazzite Linux. Instructions include a QR code for Windows drivers, which I installed then tested this adapter to confirm it works on a Windows machine as well.

No complaints - worked as advertised.
Not much to say - does what it says on the tin. Easy to use, comes with everything you need. In my case I needed a short USB extension cable to accommodate the size, so I recommend a short one to accompany your purchase if you intend on using the neighboring USB port.

Much Better than Cheaper Versions
I needed to connect to a serial device that operated at an unusual baud rate, and bought a number of USB/UART converters. This one is hands down the best, probably because it uses a real FTDI chip. Problems that I have had with other converters: (1) problems with higher-speed and non-standard-speed communications, (2) vcc problems (voltage not matching 3.3V, and dropping further with the slightest current draw), (3) difficult-to-read labeling. This converter worked flawlessly the first time. It has a convenient ribbon cable which is extremely helpful. It has a selectable voltage from 1-5 volts, and I believe (based on some data sheets) that I was consuming 250 mA at 3.3V. Anyway, despite the fact that it is a bit pricy, it just worked, which ultimately saved me a lot more money than the cheap ones. I liked it so much I ordered a second one.

Easy to use even for a first timer
I’ve never had to flash an esp8266 using UART pins before, but this just worked. Just reference whatever new ttyUSB device you see once it’s connected with esptool, and away you go! Nicely made, decent instructions, recommended.

The Only USB Serial Adapter to Have!
This serial adapter is awesome. It's plug and play with Windows 11 (my old one wasn't and wouldn't work anymore). The multiple voltages are awesome. It comes with a jumper for a loopback by default and has an adapter cable with it. It's everything you could dream of in a serial adapter.

This is a great device for working with SBC's. In the past I'd used a hacked up RS232 cable but this is easier and more flexible.
