100mm f/2.8 2X Ultra Macro APO SLR Macro Lens (Black) Full Frame - for Sony E

This is a great lens. It takes tack sharp photos. The focusing ring turns smoothly which helps with minute focus adjustments. I have many beautiful photos taken with this lens. If you can't afford the Sony Macro Lens you can't go wrong with this one. I highly recommend it.

My husband has taken up photography as a serious hobby; I got this lens for his birthday to pair with his Sony mirrorless camera body, and he LOVES it. It took a little learning to use a manual focus, but he loves a challenge and really enjoys figuring out how to perfect his technique. The picture quality is FABULOUS! He's excited for spring and all the flowers and insects it will bring so he can really put his gear to use.

Probably the best Macro lens I have ever owned. There is absolutely no distortion, chromatic color fringing, and the images are super sharp with 2x magnification. The lens comes with a 67mm UV filter for extra protection. I also was surprised when using this lens for portraits. A must have lens, used on my full frame digital camera.

Very sharp and very clean. As long as manual focus is going to work for your application its a sweet lens. We do food photography so most of our work is locked down and still life so it works out exceptional. Beats the extra cost of the Sony 90 and the New Sigma 105. Those lenses however are exceptional at double the price.

Good quality lens. Optically, it is damn near perfect, but it is very unwieldy. Focusing and keeping the lens steady is made more difficult by the length of the lens. For a modern mirrorless camera, the Laowa 90 mm macro lens would have been a better choice.

This lens is really sharp and excellent for macro photography. It is much cheaper than the other options for Sony full frame cameras. It also goes to 2x magnification which allows you to capture really small details. The only downside is there is no exif data from the lens, so it can be harder to keep track of what pictures you take with this lens.

Laowa is my go to lens and now I own the 100mm which is my favorite so far. Super sharp and best of all great price! My opinion better then most top brand macros.

the resolution is really high. but if you want to get a perfect image, you need to practice a lot. Depth of field is ridiculous shallower ( about 0.5 mm?) so you need use f/11, which means a flash is necessary.

Très jolie optique, belles finitions, semble solide, la molette de MAP est agréable et assez résistante, pas pour me déplaire. Le crop de 1,5 est très appréciable sur cet objectif et offre la possibilité de ne pas trop s’approcher du sujet. La qualité d’image est très belle. Jolie bokeh, l’ouverture à 2,8 permet de capter pas mal de lumières, le piqué est standard, excellent à F8 et F11, se dégrade un peu à grande ouverture tout de même, mais reste totalement exploitable. Le rendu des couleurs est plutôt convaincant. En résumé je trouve cet objectif parfait pour mon a6700 !

This lens is a great lens for macro photography, however its manual aperture and manual focus only. Also the dof is quite thin
