ATTEN ST-100 100W Soldering Station 150-480 Temperature Range

Great station. Accurate. Been using for years now. No faulting it.

I've been using this out of the box now for several days on quite a large and varied assembly job. I used a Xytronic LS-1000 for nearly 20 years with only a single element failure until the last one.....about one element every 10 years is awesome.This had to replace it when I could no longer get spares.WOW, what a great little iron this is. It's light, nimble, easy to use and easily as powerful as the Xytronics. Even with the supplied sharp pointed conical tip, it's heat transfer is incredible and pretty insensitive to angle. Really incredible!It solders simple through hole resistors quickly and easily as well as larger heavier components on quite large copper areas with unbelievable ease. I have felt no need to switch to a larger bit, even when soldering heatsinked TO247 Mosfets to heavy traces and ground planes. Which brings me to my only negative.....as capable as this little bit is, I'd have been even happier if it were supplied with a few varied bits. That said, I have found getting replacement bits simple and low cost so (weller)....heres to the final years of happy trouble free soldering before retirement. OH, And it heats up in around 10 -13 seconds from cold to usable....top marks.
