Mixer No 3 Smoked Honey Whiskey Sour, 17 Fl Oz

I had never been fond of whiskey sours, because the first time I I tried one, the mix came as powder out of a foil envelope. But I loved the Bittermilk Old Fashioned mixer so much, I had to give their sour mix a try. This sour mixer makes an astonishingly great cocktail! Like the Bittermilk Old Fashioned mixer, it makes a professional mixologist grade drink. Although many people would use less expensive whiskey to make a sour, this mixer makes a very good whiskey even better - the mixer really compliments the subtle flavor of better whiskey. My only caveat is that the label calls for even parts whiskey and mixer, but a 2:1 whiskey to sour mixer ratio is probably more to most cocktail aficionado's taste. Absolutely deserving of the five star rating - and I am looking forward to trying some of the other Bittermilk products.

So delicious it makes me want to drink. I purchase every now and again and go on a two drink a night bender until it is all gone. I love the surprising smoke flavor and the tang that reminds me of grapefruit. Great to give as a gift but you probably shouldn't buy for yourself or you will be stuck in a cycle of shame.

This stuff is fantastic! Not your run of the mill too sour bright yellow mess. Subtle and sweet, smoky and sour. I am drinking too much whiskey and too much bittermilk! Get that expensive hipster bar flavor at home.

This is the best Whiskey sour mix on the planet, all natural, and if you're not enjoying it, you must be using it incorrectly - it's 2 shots of Whiskey to a HALF shot of sour mix, poured over rocks, stir and enjoy. Try it that way - I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. It will never overpower your whiskey if used sparingly. Obviously, your mixing ratios may differ, but if you begin here, you have no where else to go but Whiskey Sour Nirvana. HOWEVER, the prices listed here on Amazon have risen dramatically over the last 2 years, and are now absolutely ridiculous - I get this from a local liquor store for $11.99 to $12.99 for the same size bottle. Do your homework here, boys and girls, then ask your local Hootch Monger to get you some - you'll be glad you did..

The greatest addition to an Old Fashioned!

This is the absolute best whiskey sour mix I have ever tried, too bad it's so expensive but it's worth it if you want to treat yourself. I've tried the other Bittermilk products which are also pretty good but can't get myself to order more because of the price but this sour mix I can't resist. I had to modify my rating of this product and the other Bittermilk products. I first bought this at Home Goods for 10 bucks I loved it so much 15 dollars from Amazon was OK but now that It's gone to 18, I just can't support the greed. Good luck to Bittermilk.

If you haven't tried it... you must! Absolutely delicious. I just bought several bottles as gifts for friends that I have served it to and who all thought it was equally fantastic.

Nice flavor. Don't get much smoke, but still tasty! We found that using a bit less syrup than suggested, worked well.
