If you do not disponde lot of money, this is a good camera. The lens is not interchangeable as SLR camera
Pros: -Long-running with Sanyo Eneloop AA rechargeable or alkaline batteries. -Good photo-memory speed class 10, 20 mbps. -Not as big or as heavy as an SLR. -Optical and digital zoom, up to 120.6 X. -Good quality video recording. -I find it best to work with rechargeable AA batteries are cheaper than the batteries from the manufacturer and may take longer for the amperage of the 4 batteries. -It takes very good pictures. -Good price and quality. -The EVF works for this purpose. Cons: -The manual mode lets not adjust all parameters. -The lens cap is not completely fixed, sometimes no more is uncovered. -Requires more information for easy adjustment of parameters. -I think no battery life meter. -Has no internal memory, SD card required. Still give it 5 stars.

Good Product at Good Price
Got it for my wife who knows nothing about digital cameras. In no time at all she was taking beautiful pictures. Good combination of auto point-and-click features and manual over-rides for artistic work. Old-fashioned view-finder as well as screen is a really aid when shooting outdoors in bright light that can may screen viewing difficult. Nice that it runs on common AA batteries available everywhere. As some other reviewers have noted, the lens cap pops off too easily and the door for the batteries is flimsy, so I recommend that anyone who buys this camera buy a cheap case for it so you don't risk losing those important covers. Also, note, this camera does not come with a memory card. So if you plan to surprise someone with a gift, as I did, you better take the camera out of the box, go spend a few bucks on a memory card, and put it in. Fortunately, I had done exactly that, so my wife was able to open it on Christmas Day and start using it immediately. It's not professional quality DSLR, but it is also no where near the cost of a DSLR. For "bridge camera" between the point-and-click and the DSLR it is very good and I highly recommend it.

Great Camera
This is a great camera. The photos are very high quality and the camera has many great features as well. The zoom is especially useful. The photos came out very clear even on the 18x zoom setting. Very easy to operate and fairly light weight. Though it takes four batteries it lasts quite a long time. The cons are the size, studio USB cord. As far as the size, it's rather large so I have a hard time carrying it around in my handbag without leaving removing some items. Where the studio it came is good, I had troubles installing it at first. I ended up having to re-install it due to issues with opening the studio. The USB cord is pretty short as well. It's the right length but just barely reaches out beyond my hard drive. I have to set the camera on my hard drive or floor rather than on my desk. But overall it's handy camera and very easy to use. Great for amateurs/beginners or hobby-photographers.

Excellent Value
This is an SLR Style digital camera meaning that while offering a lot of the same features as an Digital SLR it does not offer the ability to switch lenses and certain other higher end features. However, If you are not a pro photographer and have no aspirations to be one or are on a budget and just starting this is a high qualty 14 mp Camera with just about every feature of the DSLRs and an amazing lens range and image quality at a tenth of the price! It is also light enough to handle with one hand. The box comes with batteries, a nice strap, a lens cover, a quick start paper manual, a splitter cable that will allow the camera to communicate directly with your tv video/audio in ports or via usb to your Win 7 PC, and a cd with a full owner's manual and a crapy photo software I don't recomend installing. The box does not come with storage card and the camera does not have internal memory, which for me was no draw back since as a computer geek I had a handful of sd cards and adapter for micro and mini sd memory cards laying around the desktop and just dropped in a 16 gb card and it was recognized and I was able to start shooting right away. I think the sd mem card was a kingston brand micro card in an sd adapter. I'm pretty sure anything recognized by Windows will be recognized by the camera so if you have one laying around you don't have to get another right away. This is a great value without compromising quality and functionality and I recomend it Highly.

It's good but..
I've had this camera for a while now so I'm able to give a more detailed review. I really liked it in the beginning but the cons are that it doesn't take very good photos without flash- pretty much all pictures I have taken without flash come out like a big blur. It records video but it isn't very good quality. I take it to conventions with me to record my meetings with celebrities and I wish the quality was clearer but it pretty much looks like old VCR quality, honestly. Pictures with flash come out pretty well but if you're wanting to take a photo of an entire room- you won't be very happy with the outcome- it seems to focus better on the closer up object like say, you're taking a selfie in a room of a lot of cosplayers at a convention- you will come out looking just fine but everything behind you will be pretty dark and not really noticeable. Otherwise, it's a pretty good camera but I admit I'm more impressed with the cameras my friends have and I kinda do regret at times that I purchased this when I probably should have paid for something better.

Awesome camera-- everything I wanted
I am a total amateur when it comes to photography, but I wanted something that was a step up from my regular point and shoot digital camera. A lot of my friends are photographers and I would always be jealous of their amazing pictures. I was reluctant to purchase this based on the bad reviews, but I have had great luck with this camera. The pictures look professional, and the flash is incredible. I took some pictures of my friends out at a party last week and the flash lit up the entire room. Everyone wanted their picture taken with my camera. A girl even looked at a picture on my camera's screen and goes "Are you a professional photographer?" I'm so pleased with this camera. Pictures are better when the flash it used-- it's easily the camera's best feature. The zoom is also impressive. The lens cap does fall off too easily sometimes-- be sure to buy a bag for this camera. I'd definitely recommend this camera if you're looking for a step up from your regular digital camera.

Broken already
I bought a Fujifilm FinePix S2950 Digital Camera on March 9, 2012 in order to capture treasured and wonderful experiences, and I loved it for the length that it was working. However, unfortunately just recently I went to use it and is not working (no physical damage whatsoever, I cherish this camera more than I cherish my phone or any other electronic device I carry). As I attempted to turn on my camera to capture the first few moments of my newborn niece this prior weekend, the screen advised that I "turned off and on" my camera. After about 50 attempts and just leaving it alone again for the day, it still is not working. I have contacted Fujifilm, but unfortunately my manufacturer warranty was up by just a few months. I called Fujifilm, and they will provide a "free evaluation" but I will have to pay for the shipping cost to send to NJ, and in the estimate they provide to me for the cost of repair, it will include the shipping to return my camera back to me. Well, regardless if I want my camera back, i'm still stuck paying shipping and handling. I am highly disappointed that only just shy of after a year I am having to go through this. At time of purchase, if I had known I would have a working camera for only a year, I would have gone with someone else.

The best little camera I own
I am a professional photographer, and have many camera's, including $3,000 ones. But it's not practical to lug them around with me every where I go, not to allow the little ones to play with, so I bought this one. It's small, light weight and has some of the manual settings I love to adjust on my D-SLRs. Unfortunately, there are only 2 F-stop options, and most of the other manual settings are limited. This camera is perfect for kids, or for people who usually use automatic settings and want something nicer than the pocket sized ones wal mart sells, or like in my case, one that's less of a loss if you accidentally drop it in the water taking beach shots of the kids. It's a great value for the money, but you have a need for total control of all your manual setting, this might not be for you.

Otherwise nice camera & easy to use
Very difficult to take a clear image. Otherwise nice camera & easy to use. Use a tripod for best results. Good price.
