Does this come with a flexible nib?

It does not have a flex nib. It comes with a stub nib, which is broad and cut at an angle so when you write naturally it will look fancy/italic. You can write in gothic or other larger print fonts but it wont be good for thin flourishy scripts.

is this pen legit? My pen came in unmarked black box with no seal.. It did not look the official lamy joy packaging and my nib has scratches!

You bring up a good question. There was no seal on the box and I did inspect the pen. It is my understanding the pen is legitimate. However, if you are not satisfied with the pen, Amazon is very good about accepting returned items.

Does the ink cartridge come inserted already? I want to gift this to someone so I'll keep it in storage for a while.

Like all Lamy pens, this comes with a cartridge that’s not fitted in. You have to remove the cardboard ring to shut the pen, and that’s when the cartridge starts the ink flow. So you can definitely store it. Hope this helps.

Does this pen come with ink cartridges? If so how many and are they blue or black?

It's been awhile but seems to me that they "test" the pens with blue ink so you'll see leftover blue. I got my wonderful pen with black and worried that it would be tough finding additional cartridges but Amazon came through every time. People always comment on receiving mail in calligraphy.
