DEE ZEEM207 Specialty Series ATV Box , Black

Fits well on the back of my ‘96 Honda four wheeler. I drilled (4) holes in bottom of box to fasten with J bolts to rack with plastic knob nuts for fast removal if needed.

This is a great box. I bought it to mount on the back of my 4 wheeler. The handle and latching mechanism work good. The lock is a little cheap and hard to get the key in on mine. But I don't plan on using it often. The finish on the box is exelant I was very pleased. So far I am very pleased with the box and the quality. Its not super heavy duty but that keeps the weight down which is what I wanted. If your wanting a heavy duty beater box this is brobably not what you want. But for my use it is great.

I found the overall build of this box to be good. Mine was missing paint hear and there around the hinge, but over all is a good looking box. The latch works nicely, and the little gas shock was nice to hold the lid open. Also, the size was perfect for my installation.My only negatives are: I would like to see a little heavier gauge aluminum used. I don't feel it would hold up to heavy items like chaines or large tools for very long bouncing around on the back of an ATV. My second issue is that extremely large logo that is bolted on, and the two holes in the bottom pre drilled from the factory. They could easily use some adhesive, but instead I'm left with two holes in the front of my box if I want to get rid of that ridiculous logo. And for a universal box, the two holes in the bottom I feel are unnecessary. I think any one who is installing this box probably has access to a drill and we should decide where we want holes for our installation.

Not a bad price, good solid build... packing is the issue

I bought the Dee Zee M207 Specialty Series Utility Box to replace the Coleman ATV-3 compartment bag with faulty zippers (and falling apart due to dry-rot). After I looked at every production model aluminum utility box in this category, from all vendors, I settled on the Dee Zee because it offered a full size cover, piano hinge, and paddle lock. The hardware included was incomplete per instructions and diagrams included, but I had predetermined to use a full size bottom layer made from 3/8" conveyor belt piece between the box and rack (to reduce wear/rattling) and my own hardware. I used 3 stainless "U - bolts" in-lieu of included hardware. I used the included "L" brackets between one side of the U-bolts to support 3/8" plywood dividers inside the box. Now I have 3 divided sections for (1) inclement weather gear, (2) tools,camera, binoc's, rock-hounding stuff, and (3) food/water/emergency stuff. Since mounting the box, I have traveled over 300 miles through snow, slush, mud, rain, dirt, dust, over downed logs, and other stuff with no issues of rattling, leaks, or anything else. These miles logged in and around ~4300 foot elevation in central Oregon. Amazon's order fulfillment and delivery was as expected, no problems. Their pricing is the best available for this item... :-D

Excellent box as per expectation, used to store four 6 volt batteries for my RV and it works great.

Needed a box to store batteries for our travel trailer. The dimensions of this box fit perfectly between the propane tanks and the camper. This will store 4 golf cart 6V batteries perfectly. Box looks like it was made for the camper and matches perfectly. From the previous reviews regarding leaking from the decal we used some putty and then put the front back on to prevent any leaks.Thanks again Amazon for the great customer service.

I bought 3 of these to mount on my flatbed truck. It looks like DeeZee tried utilizing the local high school shop class to assemble their toolboxes. Several of the rivet holes for the lid hinge were misdrilled in all three boxes. One of the lids was powder coated after the hinge was riveted on, the other two had the hinges riveted on after they were coated. One of the boxes was 1/4" taller than the other two. The 'DeeZee' emblem on the side of the box is giant, gaudy and definitely NOT the same as the one pictured on Amazon. It can't be removed without exposing several mounting holes drilled into the side of the box. On the plus side the box has a high quality latch, seems to be weathertight and has a durable finish. DeeZee just fell short on the assembly of the box, especially at this price point.
