Loads of fun, a little peace of mind as well.
I'm not a fan of firearms-witnessed a double homicide early in life, and have shied away from firearms ever since. So when I wanted something a little more than a baseball bat for home security, this seemed like a good idea for me, a co2 lupara for pepperballs. I was impressed with the build quality, and the weight of this thing. I did the velocity mod, and while I don't know the exact numbers, it hits hard with the riot balls I bought, enough to knock the wind out of you at ten feet- I won't be doing that again. We tried the pepperballs as well, shot a tree a foot from my head. Won't be doing that again either. Had to hose me down before I could even get the shirt off, the pepper powder gets into the fabric and keeps dispersing with every movement. I think it will definitely slow down a home invader, hopefully long enough to escape or at least long enough to get at them with a bat. Outside of that, I've been having a ton of fun with it. The groundhogs have learned to stay out of the garden. All of the empty cans are dead. This will destroy a splatter burst target in four shots. It is as accurate as one would expect, pretty good to around 10 yards or so, then gravity takes over. Realistically, if I have to pop a pepperball at somebody breaking in, it's gonna be a lot closer than that anyway. Is it cheap? Not really, you can get a single shot .410 for less. I think Wally world sells a pump 20 ga for less, if that's what you want. For me, though, this is awesome. Use it for fun, use it for peace of mind, or both. Highly recommended.

Excellent for Home Defense
Just to preface this review, I purchased this weapon for home defense. I'm a military veteran with 10 years real world experience and 4 deployments under my belt. I have children and a wife and want to keep them prepared and safe. I'm not interested in dealing with the emotional and physical baggage of maiming or killing a home intruder nor am I interested in worrying about the safety of my family with accessible firearms. The HDS Shotgun is perfect for my situation. It provides the simplicity, comfort, and familiarity of an actual firearm while also providing me with the confidence that the stopping power is enough to thwart any potential attacker. Thus far i've fired dozens of rounds with this weapon and have yet to experience any issues in jamming or misfires (knock on wood) I'm so confident and impressed in these alternatives to real firearms that i purchased the T4E PPQ and the TR50 as seen in the image. I used a new 12gram CO2 with each weapon and only fired a single shot (2 shots with the shotgun) from the same distance. All three weapons are incredibly impressive with the TR50 revolver doing the most damage surprisingly. The key to making these weapons effective is round placement. With rubber steel Powerballs you want to aim for the face, waist, or genitals to stop your attacker. After testing this weapon out, I purchased the TR50 and another PPQ for my wife. Don't listen to all these people who would ridicule this alternative. If you take the time to make a plan, be comfortable with the weapon and practice using it, It's definitely enough to put ANYONE on the ground.

Well Made, High Quality Umarex
I have several Umarex guns. They are very well made, high quality pieces. This shotgun is no exception. It is heavy and feels really sturdy in your hand. This .68 cal shorty is perfect as it can fire paintballs, high density solid rubber riot balls and even defensive pepper-balls. The selection mechanism is great. You can fire either barrel or both at once. As tested, it is quite powerful out-of-the-box. I had found the videos online about the "mod" that removes the flow restrictor and almost doubles the joules coming out of the barrel. It seems that Umarex had changed the design a bit to make it more difficult to make the "mod". It seems the restrictor is no longer a simple piece that can be removed. The model I received had the restrictor as an integral part of the air chamber. I wound up drilling through the flow restrictor, (irreversible and definitely voiding the warranty), to get more output. Overall, it is a fantastic, heavy weight piece. Definitely recommended. Do the "mod" at your own risk, though.

Fun Toy.
Tested this along with many other T4E guns. It looks cool but is woefully underpowered compared to things like the HDR68, TR50 and the HDB68. Double-barrel shots ricocheted off cardboard and single-barrel would not even blow projectiles out. Probably best for paintball or lobbing things in the air.

Big smiles
Less than happy when I first shot. Shot both barrels at once, at 10 layers of corrugated cardboard fro 12 feet and promptly got hit with ricochet from both barrels. Shooting one barrel at a time produce a big smile. Very accurate for a gun with no sights. I got 38 balls down range and into target, plus the double barrel shot all on one 12 gm co2.

Great buy! Love it!
It's well made! If you run out of shoots you can beat the intruder with it! If the shoots don't scare them off! I shot an empty box and i thought i missed, no it went clean thought, hit the gate and bounced off! Well worth the price! Fun when your on the trigger side! Don't think I'm up for getting hit with one of these it will hurt! Vary powerful, more power than I anticipated for sure! You need one, and not just for protection, but for fun also! Great buy I do recommend this thing so much fun, and vary cool looking, looks pretty real ish! I would be fooled if it was pointed at me! But no thanks don't point that thing at me! I promise not to brake in your house if you promise not to shot me lol! Have fun and be safe, it shots pretty dame hard! Be warned!

shoot nylon hard balls fine
I did the upgrade for home defense - this thing hits hard now. From 30 feet shooting at a 24 gauge (1/40 of an inch) aluminum panel, the red circle is single shot, yellow circle is both barrels, the metal was split on the single shot

Hope you can fix faulty leaks
A really fun gun that shoots just about anything. My problem is the seal broke after two weeks of having it, and all it does is leak air thrue both barrells. Other than the fact I cannot return it, leads me to believe this happens alot. I don't want to return it anyways because it's just that fun. But I would like my money's worth. It's bs. Can anybody help me with this mess? After a month, still no love. I hate this piece junk. Horrible the way there doing people on this gun. DONT BUY.
