Anything For You (The Connor Family)

I wanted a light romance after watching Narcos on TV. However, this book has virtually no story. There is romance and a lot of sex which is fine as long as there is a good story to go along with it. However, this book lacks any substance at all.

I don't care for books with a narrative written in the first person. It's a personal preference, but I think that potential readers should be warned in advance. The first person narrative should be reserved for autobiographies and similar types of books. The narrative in this book shifts back and forth between first and third person with such frequency it's uncomfortable and a bit confusing - particularly because the reader doesn't even know who the "I" is at the start .Not my cup of tea.

Started out interesting then the author decided to call into the sex pit. Pages and pages of sex. I skipped over most of this book! So fed up with this style of writing. Discussing! The Maggie character and the family angle was interesting and could have developed into an interesting story but the author actually ruined the book with the sex scenes.

It is impossible not to fully love Landon, Maddie and the entire Connor clan. Connor experienced his first major loss in his life when he was just 19 years old. He then experiences another at 30. The emotional toll of both of these incidents, has caused him to be afraid of love so he throws himself into his company in an attempt to hide from love coming back into his life. Maddie grew up with a lack of emotional support and love. It isn’t that her parents don’t love her but they leave her alone with her sister Grace frequently. Then she moves from one side of the country to the other with her fiancé but he is also not a supportive person and makes her feel little and unimportant.Circumstances have Maddie and Landon meeting for the first time. Neither of them are looking for love so they continue to fight their mutual attraction to each other. Time, while not on their side, also works against them when trying to stay away from each other.So will Landon throw off his fear of sharing his heart and loving someone? Will Maddie finally believe that she is special and deserves someone who will love and support her dreams. Fabulously sexy collision between Landon and Maddie. Landon has focused on work for several years following a painful loss. He’s successful but when he finally takes a much-needed vacation, he realizes that he misses spending time with his family. He also meets Maddie, his sister’s landscape architect. Maddie is committed to building beautiful spaces and is working very hard to grow her business while helping her sister pay for school. Landon needs to loosen up and Maddie seems to be just what the doctor ordered. They connect as professionals, appreciating the work ethic they both maintain but this natural connection slowly morphs into something more. But what happens when the vacation is over and Landon has to return to his home? Will they find a future together? Or is this just a fling? The moments when they both let their guard down are fun and delicious. Add in getting to know the entire Connor clan and I can see many more wonderful journeys to come allowing me to enjoy this amazing family.

I usually like reading this authors books but this one was extremely boring to me and for some reason I did not like the characters at all. Authors books are getting very repetitive. There are still more siblings I'm sure she is going to write about and I think at this point I need to pass. Sorry.

I have fallen in love with Layla Hagen's Bennett Family series, and the first installment of the Connor family series appears like it will also be one of my favorites. Landon Connor had his heart shattered four years ago and feels like he can never love again. Maddie Jennings ended her last relationship on a bitter note and has no desire to get involved with the opposite sex any time soon. But when Landon and Maddie meet, the tension is palpable and the chemistry is sizzling! Filled with nosy sibling antics and laugh out loud scenarios, this is another of my favorite reads to add to my list!

A brand new series by Layla has once again captured my heart! Landon is need of a vacation so he goes to LA to spend time with his family, and in the middle of his family is Maddie Jennings. Maddie is working on his sister’s garden and hello the sparks fly! I love the rain scene and how she’s so stubborn about saving parts of the garden when there is literally a storm on her head. She’s feisty and stubborn and definitely a match for Landon too.The one thing that I love about Layla’s writing is that she brings out the best in the family area. She makes me wish my family was the same. I love their connection and I love their closeness with each other.Landon and Maddie are so perfectly matched and I loved reading their journey. Another amazing start to a brand new series!4 stars

This is a brand new series by Layla’s Hagen. This time we get to know the siblings of the Connor family. Anything for you is the story of Landon and Maddie. Workaholic Landon decides to spend time at home in LA with his siblings and gets more than he bargained for when he meets his sisters landscaper Maddie. Both have been hurt by relationships in the past but the attraction between them is too strong to resist.

Landon is in negotiations to take on a partner for his company, he's been working none stop and decides to take a break now that it's just tying up loose ends. He goes to visit his siblings and meets Maddie the women whose landscaping his sister's garden. He thinks she's gorgeous, the first woman that he's noticed since his wife died. They start an affair knowing he's leaving but problems arise with his company and he has big decisions to make.

I have read and enjoyed many of Layla's books and when I saw this 1st book in the series free on Kindle unlimited I jumped at the chance!!!!My personal opinion is it was dreary and boring and found myself skipping through pages.The characters had little dimension or personality, there was no storyline really .......I almost bought the other books in the series for £17.00 Before I read the first one. I will not read the rest but look forward to future publishing's from this author.

I loved the Bennett family and I’m going to love the Connor family just as much. Landon is the perfect book boyfriend he is kind sexy charming did I mention sexy. Maddie is such a kind gentle person you can’t help fall in love with her and I love her sister Grace they have a great relationship. Loved that Layla brought Sebastian and Ava into the story. Layla Hagen is one of my favourite authors I would give this book more then 5 stars if I could and recommend it to be read.
