I love the New Living Translation as I find it really accessible. The Life Application Study Bible provides lots of additional notes on the text to help you apply the Bible to your daily life. It also includes book introductions, book outlines and mega themes for each book plus an abundance of personality profiles, maps, diagrams and more! I really like the two-colour design (the usual white for text and green for all the additional features) as this draws my attention to information I might otherwise miss. My only disappointment is the size of the font. I realise that size is compromised because it’s a ‘personal size’ but I have a personal size NLT Study Bible which looks and feels similar in weight to the Life Application, but which is easier to read. For this reason I have given it 4 stars. Having said that I am still really pleased that I have bought this Bible and would still recommend it.

This appears to be very good value - indeed it is, if you have perfect vision! Mine is not good enough to sustain the strain I would get if I tried to read print so small for any length of time.I guess it would help if I could see a link into real-size layout of the pages - a feature that is sometimes on offer.
