Xtrac Gear Mouse Mat Ripper

NOT WHAT THEY USED TO BE!I bought the same model nearly 8 years ago and it is still mostly in good shape (no frayed edges, logo not faded), the surface had lost some of its smoothness but that is completely understandable after 8 years of daily use. Original ones would have received 5 stars.I bought a replacement about 6 months ago; didn't even consider any other product. Now I wish I had. First the logo rubbed off (chipped off sort of) which didn't bother me at all, nice clean black surface. But now the edges have begun to fray and 3 of the 4 corners are peeling back...

This is one of the best mousepads that I've put my hands on. Previously, I stopped using mousepads because I could move my mouse quicker and smoother on the surface of my desk over the mouse pad.Recently, I've gotten more into higher precision FPS games, and was starting to suffer from needing a quick movement when I was caught off guard. Decided instead of buying a cheap $5 one, I would upgrade and buy the XTrac, and for $20 it's the best you're going to find.It's thick and heavy duty, and does NOT move around your desk due to the slightly grippy bottom surface that holds on no matter how forcefully I have to move the mouse around.Pay special attention to the size, 11x17 is a "B size" piece of paper which is equivalent to 2 normal sheets of paper sitting next to eachother in Portrait orientation. This works well on my desk and fits my needs perfectly, but it might not be great for you.Would have no issue buying this again in the future if I have to.

Not what they used to be. The first two I had were of thinner construction and I loved them. The ones they have now just don't have that premium good feel they once had. I let the company know how I feel in a professional manner however they did not get back to me. I really loved these mouse pads but am disappointed with the last one I got. Using the first one I got at work. At home I use a hard surface Corsair mousepad. Went back to hard surface and am pretty happy.

The surface of the mat is excellent, my mouse has no problems sliding around on it, and it's far better than the desk surface. My only wish is that it were a little wider. I would like Xtrac to get a tenkeyless keyboard and make a mat wide enough to accommodate the keyboard while having enough room to the right for the mouse. At present, the keyboard hangs off the side of the mat to leave room for the mouse.

I bought this mouse pad because I have one at my day job and didn't want to settle for anything less when setting up my home office. It's large, it's durable, and it's smooth. The edges are bound so it doesn't have that cheap top-layer-peeling-off issue so many mouse pads have. I doubt it will ever wear out, but if it does, I'm getting another one exactly like it.

There is now stitching around the edges of these mats, addressing two key issues with former versions; rough edges when new and then peeling from the edges. This is my third Xtrac mouse mat, all still in use. I'll gladly buy another when the need arises.

This mousepad was great until about 3-4 months in. I started having serious issues with DPI drops and mouse control issues. I would move my mouse left and it would go right, I would move my mouse and the cursor would barely move at all, etc. I tested on many surfaces and with different settings on the mouse, but it all turned out to be an issue with the mousepad. The parts of the mousepad that had been unused and covered by my keyboard for the 3-4 months that I've had it worked properly while the main area did not. Definitely not worth your time.

I have purchased 3 of these. I got about 3 years of fairly heavy use out of each one. When I buy replacements they aren't really worn out they just get gross after a while between using it as a drink coaster and playing FPS games for hours with my wrists sliding around on it.Speaking of FPS games, optical mice track perfectly on this mat. My mouse is somewhere in the rehlm of 5000dpi and it tracks perfectly even on its highest setting. The size is also a big bonus, there is nothing like knowing that you'll never run out of mouse pad when gaming.
