I have finally found a mouse this pad doesn't work well with.
I have purchased this mouse pad twice in the past and always loved it. It is visually appealing and all my optical mouses have worked just fine with it. However, I recently purchased a Logitech optical mouse 2-pack (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005J5VLO0/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_7), and both mouses had issues with tracking. They would work fine for a little bit, then the pointer would jump to some other random part of the screen. When gaming this has the effect of spinning my character in a circle, which was quite aggravating and resulted in losses. The problem went away when using a piece of plain white paper for tracking.I think the hex pattern throws off the cheap optical mouse. It's a problem I haven't had for years of using these pads -- an older Logitech mouse that has been in use for 5+ years still works great on these pads. I only knocked off a star because this experience makes it clear that the pad doesn't work with every mouse. It's probably more Logitech's fault, as I've never had any other problems with this mouse pad over a span of years and using various mouses.

Does size really matter?
I received this mat as a gift and never used it because it seemd much too thin and had no rubber backing so I thought it would simply never work well as a mouse mat.Was I wrong! - this is the only mat I ever use now and everyone whom I introduce to it thanks me.It is a little like the original 3M kidney shaped mouse mat, only much better. The mat is a little larger than most mats and, as stated earlier, it is thinner than a credit card and has a slightly off smooth surface which results in a glide for your mouse which slides so easily the first impression is absolute surprise. The mat also sticks very well to most surfaces eliminating that annoying "moving mouse pad" syndrome, and besides, because it is so thin you can easy poke it in under any keyboard or other item and not even notice it's there! Try that with a normal mouse mat!The worst thing about this mat is trying to work on other mats which suddenly seem so bulky and scratchy that you feel absolutely spoilt with your Xtrac ZOOM. I took one to the office and I hate other people's computers now because their mouse mats all feel like sandpaper after using this Zoom mat.The other thing about this mat is that you do need to keep it clean and it only lasts about a year. It is also not easy to replace since it is not a product every store keeps on their shelves so I buy two and keep one spare all the time.Just buy it, you will not be sorry.

if you want even more grip spray some water on the back of the pad and it will stick like magic! I'm really loving this feel of
Moves less than same sized mouse pads which have the rubber backing. This is not your standard mouse pad; it is a very thin plastic sheet that grips your desk surface. P.S. if you want even more grip spray some water on the back of the pad and it will stick like magic! I'm really loving this feel of the thin pad - nothing to irritate my wrist like the standard 1/8" rubber pads do.Edit.....just wanted to say that this mouse pad does not track well with the Zowie ZA12. During slow tracking it skips. On a regular cloth mouse pad it works just fine. Don't get this if you don't want tracking issues.

Company should QA shipped product, not factory line product.
Depends on what you want and what you have. Mine arrived a bit curled at the edges, so it never laid flat and just moving the mouse was enough to move the mouse pad across the table, rendering the mouse useless. Might be different on your surface. I reverted back to my old XTrack pad and am happier.

Just ok.... slides around.
Adhesive is ok.... used a piece of double sided tape to keep it on my desk and now it is perfect. Manufacture should consider including a 3M adhesive strip.

Good thin mousepad
This is perfect. I needed a thin mousepad because of how cluttered my desk is. I needed other things to overlap on top of the mousepad without creating an uneven surface. This is very thin but still has a nice backing to prevent sliding and it's large enough for ample room. I wish it came in different designs but I'm okay with this composition book looking thing because it gets the job done.

Excellent plastic mousing surface
I've been using a Ratpadz for years and really like the plastic mousing surface. So when I decided to get something new, I looked for the same attributes. The XTracPads Zoom Ultra is as the description says - ultra thing and smooth gliding. It certainly has less resistance than Ratpadz, which already glides smoothly enough with my Logitech G700. I'm pretty happy with my purchase.

Great mouse pad for gaming mice
I have bought one of these almost 10 years ago. Very solid mouse pad for the various mice I've owned throughout the years.I purchased this one for my son. This Zoom pad is very similar to the old one I have, the Pro HS, but the Zoom is much thinner and more rigid.
