Enjoy the story of Ram, Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman with your little ones. Rotate the wheel, pull the tabs and have some fun while learning through this interactive board book. Review: Good for Hindi language learning! - What do you do when you're stuck in a foreign country and can't bring in books from your homeland to read to your new born? You look up on desertcart and find a gem to read to your kid. This story is about the Epic Ramayana. It is so nicely illustrated and written for little kids to learn. These are one of the ancient stories we learnt growing up in India. It was when I read this book that I went on to purchase more of the same kind written by the same author and same illustrator. Hope there are more books by her to read to my bub soon! Review: Great purchase, one page is off with interactive element - Update: the arrow was hard to move and I had to force it a bit but then it did move! We first bought Das Din by Pridhi and then ordered this one after we loved the first book! It is also well written and nicely illustrated however I took 1 star off because the arrow in one page (pic included) doesnโt do anything even though there is a groove there which is weird because all other pages have something functional like pull a tab etc. Nevertheless great book for couples where only one parent can read hindi (I am Indian and my husband is American) - this way we both can read to our son and he really does enjoy the colorful pictures and the pull the tab etc things that work! All in all definitely happy with the purchase!

Good illustrations and simple Hindi for kids growing outside of India
We bought this as a gift for our 1 year nephew in NYC. He loved it and was fascinated by the illustrations and interactive elements of the book. The ending could be better and we wish they had used a different illustration instead of the red heart at the end. As others have mentioned, the bow and arrow are wobbly and prone to tear, perhaps that could be improved. Despite these, I would buy it again till we are able to go to India to get books from there!

Great story, engaging books for toddlers
This book is a great way to introduce Hindi to toddlers. The story is simple and easy to follow. The pages are engaging. We have been reading this book to our son since he was 1.5 years old and he asks us to read it repeatedly.

Good board book
It's a good board book for kids. The rhyming is not as good as das din by same author. My daughter is 1 year old and loves this book.

Good book for non-Hindi speakers reading to young children!
Beautiful illustrations, great quality and the interactivity within a few of the pages is exceptional. I plan to buy other books from this team.

Great illustrations, Horrible writing!
A+ to the illustrator. F to the writer. My kid loves this book since it has amazing illustrations but unfortunately the writing is bad. No meter or rhyme at all. If the writer had spent even 2hrs on content this would have been an amazing book. I am giving 3 stars just for the art and illustrations. It has so much potential. I would really hope they improve the quality of their content.

Hindi rhyming board book on the Ramayana
What a lovely book - so rare. It's for those who understand Hindi and want to share a kid-friendly version of the Ramayana - the great Hindu epic about Lord Ram. The verse and illustrations are beautiful with lovely details. Many pages have flaps that move, animating the action. This book is suitable for those who understand spoken Hindi - it's written in both Devanagri script and in Romanized, transliterated Hindi for those who speak but do not read Hindi. It is not suitable for non-Hindi speakers (though still worth it for the gorgeous pictures!)

Beautifully written
Its such a beautiful book. My 16 month old loves it. The animations are very cute and there actually could have been more of them. The story is simplified for the little ones which I love

Great Hindi interactive book for toddlers
One of few Hindi board books available in Singapore. Like its interactive design, my son likes it too. Though it simplifies Ramayana for kids, few episodes are incoherent. For example, why would Lakshmana offer a rabbit to Lord Ram. Otherwise it's a great book.

Awesome Book for kids
Kahaani Puraani as the name suggests is a story of Ramayana retold by Pridhee in a poetic form. It incapsulates the essence of Ramayana and tells the tales of Ram, Laxman, Sita and Hanuman to our little ones. It is a fun and interactive board book with a rotating wheel, push and pull leaflet, a golden deer and a moving arrow which makes the learning experience engaging and happy. We barely have any good books that focuses on our mother tongue Hindi , this book is exceptional and gives you reading options in both Hindi and English transliterations. A perfect way of keeping the national language alive. Iโm ecstatic to see how she enjoys reading it and doing pretend play when she makes her toys read it. Itโs sheer joy. I can promise that you will never regret buying this book. .

Great introduction to Hindu literature and culture
I loved how the kids could interact with the characters who were so cutesy drawn out and was a sense of magic about them .. in a simple way the story of Ramayan is told that stays with the child .. loved the book and highly recommend it
