Schwinn Fitness IC Indoor Cycling Bike Series

I’m really impressed with this bike! It’s sturdy, smooth, and very comfortable to ride. The resistance is easy to adjust, and it feels like a real gym experience at home. I also like how quiet it is, which makes it perfect for daily workouts.I had previously purchased the IC3.5, but after about two weeks the resistance got stuck on the highest level and I had to return it. Because of that experience, I decided to upgrade, and I’m glad I did. In my opinion, it’s definitely worth paying a bit more for the IC4, the quality and performance are much better.Great quality and definitely worth it!

This is a great all around stationary bike., especially for the price on sale I bought it to help with rehab after knee surgery so I am currently using it at its most basic level. I selected this bike because of its stability and flexibility. This thing is solid. Almost no plastic to be found (the display being tge exception). The front and back supports are fairly wide and very heavy.Second, the bike has magnetic resistance so it's super smooth and quiet.Third, the bike works with several apps to up my game as the knee heals.Fourth, you have the option of toe cages or cleats on the pedals, again allowing a range of users.Limitations that might bother some: it does not have a built in display screen and, for a different set, it comes with a racing seat. For those who want to use apps for classes, you have to use your own device with Bluetooth connection.On the other end of the spectrum, for those of us not yet competing or spinning, you can swap out the seat if you have strength and a socket wrench. The seat is attached to a bracket that fits on a rail that allows the seat to move forward and back. That bracket is attached to the seat by a post, secured by 2 nuts. The nuts are factory tightened and must be very firmly retightened if you swap it out. I found this impossible without a socket wrench.Tl; dr: I would buy this bike again in a heartbeat. It is suitable for beginners to more competitive cyclists.

this is an incredible indoor bike. well engineered, well thought out, whisper quiet, easy to put together, smooth pedaling; not a great seat , not great pedals. i threw away my pooboo, which was absolute junk!

This is the first and only exercise bike I've ever owned, so I have nothing to compare with. But my doctor has told me that my running days are over and I needed to find a way to keep exercising.First thing I'll say about this bike is that it is incredibly sturdy. If you're heavier person, have no fear that it's going to wobble or not support your weight.Despite the fact that the instructions indicate it's a two person job to assemble, I'm a 57-year-old woman living alone and I was able to do the whole thing by myself.The resistance knob is easy to reach while exercising and provides a more than adequate range of resistance. It also functions as an emergency stop/wheel lock.The bike has a relatively small footprint and does not take up a ton of room. It's easy to move with the wheels, either from the back or from the front. It is absolutely silent so you don't need to jack up the TV volume while you're riding. I also appreciate the built-in USB charger, and the fact that it comes with a heart rate monitor, dumbbells, and a 2 month membership to the JRNY app which is actually a lot of fun and has an impressive variety of visually spectacular workouts.All that being said, there is still a little room for improvement.The assembly instructions could have been clearer, but it was easy enough to find a YouTube assembly video to help with that. The seat that came with the bike was never going to work for me as I'm a heavier person and need more padding, so I replaced that immediately.Even with the seat and the handlebars adjusted as close to each other as they will go, it's still a little uncomfortable for me to lean forward far enough to grip the handlebars. (I'm 5'5")The display is pretty basic and I wish they would have gone with a digital display for RPMs instead of the weird graph across the top that makes you guess at your actual number.Also, the handlebars are very hard and even with padded gloves the palms of my hands were very sore after even a short workout . I solved this problem with some foam pipe insulation and athletic tape. After those adjustments, it's just about perfect

Solid cycling experience. Quiet. My wife really likes the handlebar adjustment forward and back. Our old bike handlebar was too far away from her. Assembly was pretty easy, especially when I discovered and watched a Youtube video. The owners manual is not great. Drawings are unclear.Two negatives: 1. The console readings for mph and calories burned seem out of whack. I know about how fast I ride a road bike. The speed is too high. The calories are 30% higher than what my Garmin watch estimates from my heart rate and body weight. 2. When I wrote to the vendor (JHT -Johnson Health Tech?) to inquire about this, I received a legalistic bunch of mumbo jumbo about “out of warranty” service. The bike is brand new. I sent the requested info - serial number, etc., etc., but still did not receive an adequate explanation.

I researched quite extensively, comparing this Schwinn and the leading indoor cycles. I chose this one and am very happy. Quality is excellent. I like not having a huge built-in screen as I can easily use my i-pad for a training program or watch the game on the TV from across the room. Pretty easy to put together. Be careful - it is heavy. I bought a mat for underneath and that was worth it. I appreciate the option of using clip-ins or regular shoes without changing out pedals. Like the 1-100 adjustable dial. Seat height adjustments and position are great. Very sturdy and looks great.

So I am a busy working mom and I was working out at a gym and with a personal trainer but the scheduling was just not working. I decided on a bike back in the fall and spent about 5 months researching. I was going to get the peloton but at the last minute decided on the Schwinn. It was really bugging me that I’d be tied up with only peloton content and have to pay a costly monthly fee. I was also looking at even cheaper bikes but i wanted to stick with a good brand name, and I love that it has the monitor so my husband - who doesn’t care about classes - can just hop on and ride and see his metrics without additional screens, etc. Over a week in and I am so happy with my choice! I was going to use the peloton app or apple fitness, but it turns out there’s tons of great cycle classes on YouTube for free! No need to spend extra at this point. I can also use my regular sneakers so that’s a huge plus for me too!As far as delivery and assembly - I had it delivered the next day after I ordered. It was a huge heavy box but I was able to slide it into my garage and take everything out. I carried it in pieces to my basement and put it together with the help of a YouTube video in about an hour and a half. Mind you, I’m a 5’3” 113 lb woman. I did it all by myself. Yes it was heavy and awkward to carry myself, but I did it. It went together mostly easy, but the biggest issue was some of the smaller screws didn’t want to go in on the monitor. After messing with them for a bit I got them in.Once I got it all set up I tested it out. It is so smooth and a quiet ride. When my husband got back in town and saw it he noted how good it looks and he can tell it’s good quality.So far, I love it!

The bike, itself, is amazing. BUT the one I received from Amazon arrived in a crushed box and the metal of the legs was also bent (couldn't be assembled due to this distortion). Thus the bike I bought from Amazon was returned. The return process was easy (scheduled UPS pickup) but I did have to follow-up about my refund two weeks after the shipment had been delivered to the return processing center.The bike: Ultimately I still bought the Schwinn IC4 from Dick's Sporting Goods. Assembly was straightforward but it is a two-person job IMO. It rides like a dream - super quiet, 100 micro-levels of resistance, and the dashboard computer includes an RPM meter, time, calories, distance, speed, resistance level, and pulse (the bluetooth wrist band for measuring heart rate is also included). There is no required monthly fee required to own/use this bike, which was one of the major selling points for me (though the bike is enabled to be integrated with the Peloton app [$14.99/mo but you don't get the scoreboard] or a couple other exercise apps). Personally, I have been riding along with free YouTube spin classes rather than paying for an extra service. The tablet/phone stand allows me to stream videos up close or I can stream from my TV across the room. The integrated USB plug helps me keep the tablet (or my phone) charged.I am very petite (5'0") so I love that both the seat and the handlebars are not only adjustable verically (up-and-down), but also movable horizontally (forward-and-backward); the latter is not an option on the Peloton. This bike not only fits me perfectly, but works for my 6'2" husband as well. The pedals come with cages on one side and SPD clips on the other. A set of SPD cleats come with the bike to attach to your cycle shoe of choice (should you want). I am lucky enough to already have cycle shoes with compatible cleats. Overall, after having the bike for a month and having ridden for at least 20 hours, I am highly satisfied with this spin bike. It is on par with the spin bikes I've used in cycle studios and costs significantly less than the Peloton.

The provided seat is comfortable for longer rides, absolutely no complaints here.For the price point, the IC4 really delivers. It’s sturdy, versatile, and gives me us studio-quality workout experience at home without the subscription costs of other bikes and even leaving the house. If you’re looking for a reliable indoor cycling bike that balances affordability and performance, the Schwinn IC4 is an excellent choice for you.

Me gustó y lo recomiendo.Tiene una semana que llegó. Llegó en perfecto estado, puntual. La calidad de la bici es mejor de lo que esperaba, materiales resistentes; muy estable y silenciosa. I am so happy I chose this over the the more expensive peloton or the less expensive echelon. Although I don't have the echelon (ex 15) their price doubled over the holiday and is now almost the same price as the ic4. So why would we even consider the ex 15 anymore.The ic4 have been great. Assembly was simple. I did it all by myself and it was easy breezy. The quality is great and it is truly silent. I read people complained about the handlebars not moving towards you enough and I agree. I wish I could pull it towards me a bit more since I'm really short but I know other bikes dont even have 4 way adjustment. The bike looks great and feels sturdy. I've ridden off the saddle and and clipped in and I feel good about it. The saddle is fine and I know people complain how it's not soft enough. Spin bike saddle is not supposed to be squishy. It should be supportive which it is and when you're doing spin classes you'd be leaning forward a little anyways. It's not supposed to be like a cruiser saddle.There are a few things I wish were different but I think these are more so preference rather than an issue. I wish the tablet holder was more upright or adjustable. I find my tablet sits on funny angle and if it was more upright there would be less glare.I wish the strap on the hr monitor was less scratchy. I'm only complaining becasue I have a better hr monitor to compare to. If I didn't I probably wouldn't think much about it. Lastly I actually think it better to have the weights behind the saddle rather than under the handlebars. I feel it's more natural to sit up and then pick up the weights rather than grab the weights then sit up.Love it so far and look forward to enjoying this for years.

Very happy with the purchase of the IC4.I was using an Echelon Sport (Walmart) for the past 12 months which for the price was fine.The main issue was it was not that tough at its at its highest resistance.Was waiting for this to go sale and purchased it on sale - Black Friday.I use the with the Peloton Digital app (not needed but highly recommended)PROS:- almost silent- included Bluetooth heart rate arm strap works great (matches the Heart Rate of my Apple Watch)and pairs seamlessly with the Peloton app.- In the Peloton app you can connect to the Bike for cadence - so bothCadence and Heart Rate are displayed in the Peloton app.- Can use it with an iPad or iPhone on the bike mount or I use the Peloton app on Fire TV.NOTE: You cannot connect the BIKE or your Heart Rate via Bluetooth to the Peloton app on your Fire TV.BUT... if needed you can start the Peloton app on your phone/iPad and mirror to your Fire TV.Look up "ApowerMirror-Screen Mirroring for TV" in the Fire Tv app store.or have the same Session playing on your iPad/iPhone (which will display Cadence and Heart Rate)mounted on your bike but also playing the same class at the same time on your Fire TV appassuming you have a TV with Fire Tv in the same room.- Seat can be adjusted up, down , back, forward- Handlebars can be adjusted up, down, forward, back- At the highest resistance - 100 - still offers tough resistance when standing.CONS (small):- assembly not fast - read the instructions or look up on Youtube. But all fine was assembly was complete.- as other have mentioned position of water bottle holders is odd. I just don't use them.- Seat is not the most comfortable but its fine.- resistance from 0-25 feels like nothing - the lowest resistance I start with is about 30.With Peloton app I'll either match the resistance call outs or add 5-10ex. Peloton instructor call for 50 resistance I'll set resistance between 50-60 etc.- red wheels used to move the bikes location are plastic. not the rubberized versions you see on other bikes. but once your bike is in place its fine.- Cadence readout on the Bike display is not digital. Its a incremental gauge and you more or less guessyour cadence is between a range . But if using with the Peloton app not an issue once paired - as the cadence is displayed in the app.
