Love it. Great buy

I’ve lost count on the number of desk lamps that I’ve purchased over the last few years that have all failed in a short period of time. I decided that on this occasion I would purchase a branded product from a respected manufacturer and was pleased to see one manufactured by Status. I’ve purchased a number of different Status branded products over the last few years and have never been disappointed. The company is based in the United Kingdom with a website including the history of the company and a U.K. support telephone number. The Desk lamp arrived in a branded carton and is manufactured from good quality materials and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The lamp shade is on a flexible shaft that can be angled to your individual requirements. An E27 bulb is required and not provided. The lamp offers excellent value for the price point.

After using the Status Palma Desk Lamp for a few weeks in my home-office setup, here’s a detailed review from someone who spends eight-plus hours a day at the desk and appreciates both form and function. What I like • The build is surprisingly solid for the price—metal construction gives it a premium feel, no wobble even when repositioning the arm. • The flexible gooseneck is genuinely useful. I can direct light exactly where I need it, whether that’s the keyboard, a document, or the screen, without having to shift the whole lamp. • The silver finish looks good on my minimalist desk and matches my other tech (iPad Pro, iPhone, etc.). It quietly blends in rather than shouting “look at me”. • It’s compact enough that it doesn’t dominate the desk. For an accountant/content-creator like me, who has a calculator, trackpad, mouse, separate keyboard, and some light gear cluttering the space, this lamp slots in without taking over. • The light output is decent for reading and focused tasks; I appreciated it when doing invoice work or editing video content in the evening. What could be better • While the gooseneck is flexible, once adjusted it doesn’t hold as rigidly as I’d prefer—occasionally a gentle bump will shift the direction slightly. • The lamp doesn’t provide much breadth of illumination; it’s ideal for task lighting but not for lighting up a whole room or if you need broad ambient light. • If you like high-lux, bright daylight simulation for long editing sessions, this might feel a touch under-poweredbut for everyday desk use it’s perfectly fine. Who I’d recommend this to • Anyone looking for a neat, functional desk lamp that gives good control over lighting direction without being overly bulky. • Creators, freelancers, or desk-workers (like me) who need a reliable light source for reading, typing, content creation, or video editing and want something that looks good without being flashy. • People setting up a compact workspace or working in smaller rooms (especially helpful in colder climates like Scotland, where I am) where you don’t want a lamp dominating the area.

Exactly what I wanted, small but perfectly suited to sit on my headboard. The on/ off switch integrated into the base was a major plus for me. When getting up during the night you are not searching for the cable and switch. Great price, highly recommended.

Heavy base, so very stable. Flexible so good light direction (on to my keyboard). Pleased with lamp but pity no bulb supplied. Bought Paul Russell daylight bulb for bery bright light. Good value

Neck not sturdy

Do tre stelle perché la lampada è carina e mi sembra robusta, ma attenzione: ha una spina del tipo usato in America o Gran Bretagna per cui richiede necessariamente un adattatore. E non mi pare venga specificato nella descrizione dell'articolo, o almeno a me è sfuggito, altrimenti non l'avrei comprata. Adesso capisco perché aveva il prezzo più basso fra tutte quelle dello stesso genere. Sicuramente un buon prezzo per la lampada in sé, ma considerata la necessità di aggiungere un adattatore non la ricomprerei.
