It works great

I found a round pinkish ring on my inner thigh, near the groin area. I suspected that it might be fungal, most likely due to wearing thick pants that do not "breathe" for many hours in a hot & humid environment at my new job. (I already had ditched the pants for a cotton blend pair but the ring would not clear up after several weeks/months despite keeping the area very clean & dry.) So i ordered this Miconazole 2% cream to see if it would help. I have used the cream twice a day as directed for several days and i can hardly see the outline of the ring now. I hope that by the end of the recommended treatment time it is gone. I will be sure to update my review on this in a few weeks. I am very happy that i found this bargain on Amazon. Great price for five tubes! And i prefer to have a product like this delivered discretely to my door rather than buy it in the drugstore. update on 12/11/14---After one week the ring was totally gone. i used the cream for another week just to be sure. i waited a while to update my review in case it came back, but it hasn't. So i guess that whatever i had was some sort of fungal infection & this cream cleared it up.

This is one of the best fungus med I ever had. Because I have many animals... I got fungus infections on my skin sometimes, The infection usually appears on my hands arms, due to handling animals. So this product is not only good for the typical athletic foot. this thing healed me in less than 2 weeks. No more itches or marks. But I am still using it just as the direction. For the healing result, it really worth the money! buy it!

If you are determined to try and treat the problem yourself, here are some of your options. All OTC products mentioned below were available on Amazon as of 5/17/2016. Creams and Gels - You can buy 1% Tolnaftate cream here: Tinactin or Family Care Tolnaftate Cream. - You can buy 1% Clotrimazole cream here: Family Care Clotrimazole Anti Fungal Cream, 1%. - You can buy 2% Clotrimazole cream here: Clotrimazole 3-Day Vaginal Cream. - You can buy 1% Terbinafine (Lamisil) cream here: Equate Athlete's Foot Terbinafine HCl. - You can buy 1% Terbinafine (Lamisil) gel here: Lamisil Once. Supposedly it forms an invisible film that "allows the active ingredient to continuously fight the fungal infection over an extended period of days". - You can buy 2% Miconazole Nitrate cream here: Monistat 7 Vaginal Antifungal Cream or you can look for generic Miconazole Nitrate. - You can buy 4% Miconazole Nitrate cream here: Monistat 3 Vaginal Antifungal Cream. - You can buy 6.5% Tioconazole cream here: Monistat 1 Vaginal Antifungal Cream. - You need a prescription for things like: 2% Ketoconazole and 0.8% Terconazole. If the above products do not clear your problem up right away, you should go see your doctor. There are more effective (broader spectrum) anti-fungal creams. Your problem may not even be a fungal one. Powders -- Powder helps to keep the area dry. Fungus grows in warm, moist areas. Do not put powder on areas that are supposed to be warm and moist. - You can buy 1% Tolnaftate powder here: Tinactin Antifungal Powder. - You can buy 2% Miconazole Nitrate powder here: Zeasorb, Desenex, or Lotrimin Antifungal Powder or you can look for a generic Miconazole powder. Sprays - You can buy 1% Ketoconazole spray here: Ketohex Spray. Note that this is FOR PETS. Use it on humans at your own risk. This also contains 2% Chlorhexidine which is an anti-bacterial. Soaps and Shampoos - You can buy 1% Ketoconazole shampoo here: Nizoral AntiDandruff Shampoo. The problem is that you wash it off right after you put it on. Supposedly it adheres to hair and is more effective on hairy areas. Tea Tree Oil - You can buy various liquids, creams, soaps, and shampoos with Tea Tree Oil (a natural anti-fungal). The ones that I have tried have been somewhat harsh on the skin -- drying and irritating. Pills and Capsules - You need a prescription for things like: Terbinafine, Itraconazole, or Fluconazole capsules. If topical treatments are not working, you may need a systemic medication. Long before you get to this point, you should be talking to your doctor. This is only mentioned here so that you can ask your doctor about it if he/she has not already mentioned the possibility of a systemic. - Often topical anti-fungals do not work on problems with the fingernails and/or toenails. The fungus is too deep for a topical anti-fungal to get at it. An oral antifungal like Terbinafine (Lamisil), Itraconazole (Sporanox), or Fluconazole (Diflucan) can often take care of the problem. Itraxonazole worked for me. Take a pill once a month for 3 months and all of your nails start clearing up. It may take many months for a new healthy nail to grow in place. All of these require a prescription. Talk to your doctor. Suggestions - Read the warning label and follow the instructions on the box. - Wikipedia has pretty good information on the various anti-fungal medications (Clotrimazole, Miconazole, Terbinafine, etc.). Read about it before you use it. - 2% cream is 2% cream. If you are a jock and you are embarrassed about using a "vaginal cream", put a piece of black tape over the word "vaginal". - Keep applying the medication after the problem appears to have gone away, as stated in the directions. Otherwise, it will likely come back. - Talk to your doctor about a maintenance plan to keep any new infections away. - There are many types of fungi. There is not one anti-fungal product that kills all fungi. In general, prescription products kill a broader range of fungi than OTC products. - Look for a cheaper generic product. 2% Miconazole is 2% Miconazole.

Holy Cow.... what a great deal. Ladies --- you must buy this - it is JUST like the MONOSTAT TOPICAL cream for your outer "bits" when you have a yeast infection. Often that is the only place I get a yeast infection and having to get a whole kit or search 5 or 6 stores for a tiny over priced tube of the their topical cream for relief, OR go to the GYN and get an RX. This is the SAME EXACT STUFF and so much cheaper and you get a ton of it. I keep a tube in each bathroom - I labeled it "Yeast Infection" in case I forget, and get thrown off by "jock itch" on the tube.

Uncomfortable topic to talk about, but I had jock itch...BAD!! I had it on my scrotum, upper inner thighs and my anus. It itched so bad and was very raw. It was painful to go swimming, take a shower and just in general painful throughout my daily routine. I tried several antifungal meds that did not work. Here's how I finally got rid of it. 1. I also bought this body wash soap called "Fungi Soap" available on amazon. Use this to wash your body everytime you bathe. 2. When you are done bathing, use a blow drier to get your area extra dry. This a must, you can purchase a decent one for under $15. 3. After you blow dry your area apply Miconazole and rub it in throughly. I would then sometimes blow dry my area again if it still was moist from the rash. Do this 2 times a day. Mine cleared up completely in 16 days, but it can take up to 4 weeks. 4. I still had a bad itch the first 10 days, so I also used hydrocortisone creme to help calm the urge. If you have the itch, give this a whirl and the extra things I listed above and you will clear up.

Oh my gosh, a pack of 6 for less than I could buy 1 tube at the pharmacy! These are good sized tubes. The 2% is hard to find, so I thought I did good with this product. I had some issues on my face and have had many different diagnosis from the dermatologist. Rosacea, seborrhea dermatitis, eczema....etc. etc...they are all guessing. Even a biopsy turned up Nil. What I have comes and goes but always comes back in the same place. I've long suspected something fungal, yeast-like. The other antifungals did not even put a dent in my recovery, (nor did the many, many, many prescriptions the dermatologist had prescribed through the years) but Miconazole does show some healing. As a matter of fact, a few years ago when I had some dental work done the dentist prescribed amoxicillin, but my tooth (root canal) still hurt way past the time it should have even though I was taking antibiotics which I try not to take so many...to shorten the duration of infection, his assistant suggested taking miconazole oral antifungal pills along with the amoxicillin......BINGO...a few days later I was doing fantastic in addition, the places on my face that I am still treating healed while taking the prescription of oral miconazole. Unfortunately, my dentist does not treat derm issue and my doctor doesnt think I need them....(Im in the process of looking for a different doctor and dermatologist.) So, I bought this cream to self treat until then and it looks promising so far, its only been a few days, but I can see some healing....well worth the money and you get so much!!

I get yeast infections whenever I take antibiotics and in the Monistat or whatever OTC you buy you get a tiny tube of this stuff. It was frustrating because they did not sell any larger tubes in the Feminine Hygiene section of the store. So one day I did a search on the ingredients and found out that they were the EXACT same at this product here. Which makes sense since yeast is considered a fungi in many ways. So I bought six tubes and gave them out to various women in the family. You could probably buy only 1 tube and it would last for years, but for the price, I would share the love. CAUTION: While this works to relieve the symptoms of a yeast infection of any magnitudes, It does NOT cure them. I have had enough yeast infections to recognize the first symptoms and yes, this seems to be able to control mild cases if caught early enough but don't rely on this only. See your doctor is the infection gets worse in any way. (I think this is the reason this is not sold as a feminine product because then women might not go to their doctors when they should and the potential lawsuits are not worth the profit of selling this item separately.)
