Men's and Women's Unisex Thai Fisherman Striped Pants

Thai Fisherman pants are loose-fitting, light and very comfortable. Thais call these pants 'kang keng lay'. Kang keng means 'pants' and 'lay' means sea, as they were originally worn by Thai fisherman. Fisherman pants are great for relaxing around the house or a stroll at the park. Now they are predominantly used for beach, casual and exercise wear. Fisherman pants are unisex. One size fits all (up to 52" waists, length of 38". fits to ankle of persons up to 5'10", but is usually worn short). They measure 50 inches across the waist and even then I only managed a tiny 4 inch fold before tying them up. The skinny, in-shape guy that shows you how to tie them on YouTube, managed TWO, 6 inch folds on EACH side! So yeah, I need to lose more weight. I just wanted to warn those chunky ppl out there, who buy these thinking they will be loose around their waist. The only way these would fit loosely on me, would be if i wore them without any folds like a pregnant woman might. Hahaha. And I'm only 237lbs and 5'9. (I say ONLY 237 because I'm aware a lot of chunky ppl in the US are not even considered to be in the FAT category unless they weigh over 300, according to some). Other than that tho, the pants are amazing. Such roomy, wide legs and the length is JUST right for a guy my height. I did my Yoga with these the other day and it felt great. The fabric breathes really well and after you wash them, they cease to be scratchy like they are when you just get them. I recommend washing any clothing you get before wearing it, but make sure to wash these with dark colors only, cause they bleed a lot of it in the first few washes. Review: Returned it - Don't get me wrong, the pants fit and were comfortable. However, I noticed the stitching on the pocket was coming undone so I had to return it.

Careful - the color will BLEED into other clothers.
These are great pants - they look really nice and have a great texture. The problem is the dye that they used really bleed. The color has started to fade after washing them. I was careful not to wash them with anything nice - they leech A LOT of dye and will probably ruin anything moderately white. Otherwise very nice pants.

Don't be fooled by size.
I just got these today and they look great and appear to be well made but I canot wear them. I wear 42" waist and these were supposed to fit larger waist sizes but I can't make a fold in the waist and the crotch is two short so they ride below my waist. I wouldn't reccomend these unless your waist is 32" or less.

Great pants -the first pair lasted over 5 years.
I wear these almost every night as pajama pants; after 5 or 6 years the tie string started to fray. The pants are still in great condition, but wanted to have a new pair ready whenever these finally wear out.

Awesome casual pant, with a great look.
These are the very BEST all-around lounging pants I've ever come across ... great for my daily walk (5 miles), and time on our sailboat! The guy who - there was just barely enough room for a 50" waistline perhaps didn't/doesn't know there are plus-size versions of these pants on Amazon. I'm happy with the regular size, and can get plenty of fold in the front for a nice, easy fit;I'm not overweight, but I'm not a skinny-minnie, either! I can adjust the length by how much I fold over the top, so they fit even a short person (5'2") like me! I'm shopping for my second pair right now! Only caveat is to be SURE to wash these separately or with like colors ... they WILL bleed for quite a few washes. So, unless you like a blue tint to everything, head's up!
