Luna UKE S EGT Solid Mahogany Concert Ukulele with Egret Headstock

bought it on amazon...from 8th st. ...it arrived in 10 days... very nicely wrapped ...a beautiful instrument...the easy to play action seemed to be set-up by 8th st....hardly can quit playing...just love it and such a good deal!...haven't tried plugging it into an amp yet...

bought it for my daughter who had played her "starter" uke for 2 year. Great quality, sound and appearance. GREAT VALUE for the price!

I love this thing - I bought it from AMS - no issues to mention there.Solid Mahogany, Nice finish. It plays quite well and looks fantastic.4 and not 5 stars because it didn't come with Aquilla strings like stated, just "generic" clear uke strings that were really not that great. Sounded OK acoustically, but still excellent plugged in even with the crappy strings. Also intonation is good, but not perfect. Better than the other lower-level ukes I have but the C string is 5 -10 cents off at the 12th fret. The others are very close to accurate. Might be better with Aquillas, haven't checked yet.Fantastic punch - great clear rhythm sound when plugged in. Very malleable with the treble/bass eq on the preamp.I know I only gave it 4 - but I do highly recommend this instrument. It is really nice for the price.

This uke is both attractive and has a nice tone. It was the best bargain I could find on a uke that was both solid wood and electric.

Absolutely amazing.

Received this as a Christmas gift after cutting my teeth on the  Lanikai LU-11 Soprano Ukulele  (a great starter instrument). I had my eye on several other makes and models as my first "real" uke, including many tenor models, so was a bit ambivalent when I saw it was a Luna. I had heard nothing but good things about Luna, but it wasn't one of the ukes on my list.Any worries I had were quickly allayed when I got my hands on the Egret. First off, it's a beautiful uke; I don't think the pictures here do it justice. Many Luna ukes have the "tattoo" on the face, which just isn't for me. The egret on the headstock is beautifully done, and adds that artsy touch that sets Luna apart. The grain and finish on the mahogany looks great as well. The choice of ebony to accentuate the mahogany and egret on the headstock was a perfect choice.It sounded good and has good intonation. Having come from a soprano, the concert had that much richer tone. I haven't plugged it in yet, but look forward to soon.Overall, I'm super happy with the Egret. At this price point, I challenge you to find a solid wood instrument, acoustic/electric, that is as beautiful and a joy to play as this one. Looking forward to many years of playing this one.Sidenote: I had a small string issue and contacted 8th Street. They responded to me quickly and rectified the problem quickly with no hassle. Many props to them for being a stand-up company that I know I can trust for future purchases.

I'm not entirely sure how valid this review will be. A buddy of my found this uke on the road, the electronic hardware ripped out, numerous cracks, dirty, etc. I took simply because i wanted to learn. Even though it has a huge gaping hole in the side (where the electronic system was) and several cracks all over, this Ukulele has a beautiful sound, and is absolutely solid in terms of quality. It's beautiful, and the fact that it still resonates a beautiful tone even after presumably being thrown out of a moving vehicle, makes me think that this is a fantastic buy as far as tone, beauty, and build go. I cannot accurately rate the system unfortunately. However, I do intend on replacing it with my own. A GREAT UKE FOR ANY LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY! :)
