too many problems
First Try:When I set it up as a repeater, everything initially went as described in the instructions. However, after it rebooted it didn't work. The signal strength of the original wi-fi network has not been boosted. I also see an (AC) network as promised but I don't have a device that can use an AC network. More seriously, when I tried to log back into it to check the settings it couldn't connect. I then tried the reset button to return it to factory settings but it didn't work! That's a pretty serious flaw. I don't know if the problem is just that I am using Apple devices or whether it is a more general problem but the failure of the reset button suggests the latter.Second Try:I came back home after some hours only to find the unit had done the factory reset! Not sure how long it took but it must have been a substantial delay. I'm wondering if maybe it was doing a firmware update but the web interface didn't tell me? Anyway, I did the configuration again (via ethernet wire this time) and this time everything worked! So I'm going to dock it a star for the initial aggravation but otherwise it seems to be fine. I'm only getting full signal (all bars) inside my room so not sure what kind of range it has but happy so far.Third Try:After a couple weeks the wi-fi stopped working. I got full signal bars but no internet. I unplugged the repeater and everything worked again, albeit without the signal boost. I could have spent more time trouble-shooting but at this point my take is this device is too touchy for me. I switched to a more expensive alternative and everything is working seemlessly. So I guess it depends on one's cost-time priorities but for me I'd rather spend more money and not have to spend any more time.

Easy setup, unobtrusive, and just works.
Easy setup, unobtrusive, and just works. The only thing I dislike about it is that I can't setup 2 networks to what it receives as a signal. So when it does its initial setup it connects to my 5G and then creates a 2.4G that connects directly to the extender/repeater. So now I have 3 SSID logins for my network, two of which are covering the same bandwidth (routers 5G and 2.4G and the repeater's 2.4G (5G remains on the same SSID as the router for both)). I'd rather be able to connect the 2.4G in this repeater directly to my wireless routers so that I just have the two networks, but that's a minor complaint in the grand scheme of things (and it's possible I'm just missing something). In the long run this will likely only get used as a wired outlet connection via the wireless to my router as our new router has coverage all throughout the house or as an extender to reach out into the backyard perhaps.

Great small Wi-Fi router that can work on 5GHz
I've been using it for now ~ 1 month. I had Linksys (ok), Netgear (didn't like), Asus (great router) before. My Asus is great, has external antennas, but it's big and only 2.4GHz. I moved to another place (1 Bd apt) and here I'm limited in space :( So, I decided to buy this little guy. After 1 month of using it, my verdict is:GOOD:- Price, it's cheap for the 802.11AC (dual band 2.4GHz/5GHz)- It is small (look my picture), the size is similar to a regular AC adapter :)- It works well with different devices, I'm using it for: PC (Realtec 802.11AC wi-fi), Asus notebook, Apple Macbook Pro, IPhone, IPad - all devices tried on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz (didn't find any difference in speed), so all connected on 5 GHz- It works well for long time without rebooting, for more than 1 month I never had problems with it, used 24/7 all the time- Easy to install, easy to use- Nice looking design :) looks great and funny for me, not like ASUSBAD:- Distance, it has a good signal for ~1 Bd/Studio apartment (~10 m radius), If you have something like 2-3 Bd house you will need to use few of them (some in repeater's mode) or just buy something like ASUS :) My old Asus handled the same devices with ~ 2 times longer distance.FOR WHOM I CAN RECOMMEND IT:If you have a small apartment, or if you need to travel - this device is a very good decision, you will not find something cheaper and better, if you live in a house I suggest to buy something with external antennas. After all, I'm happy with this router and my Asus became retired after long working life :)

Know why you're getting this
This is a good product but you need to be aware this is a repeater bridge. What does that mean? If you're looking a unit you can install once and leave it, get this, will serve you well. However if you're looking for a unit you can share 1 internet connection between multiple units, this isn't for you. Once the extender feature is installed you lose the ability to ever again reach the config screens in the unit; you'd have to reset the device to ever reach those screens again as the unit loses it's internal IP and will instead be transparent, giving each device an address received from the original wireless network.

Excellent product, works great!
I'm using this as a repeater, as I have an outdoor shop/garage that is vulnerable to a poor wifi signal. I installed this in my outdoor garage, and was skeptical of it to begin with, but considered it was worth a try. It works great! I now have 5Ghz with full bar signal strength, and can play 1080p YouTube videos with no buffering at all. I only wish now, that I would have spent a little more money for the faster one, had I known how well they work. But for $40 opposed to $100 this is an excellent purchase, and I would recommend it to anyone with a large home, or an out building that needs a better wifi signal.

Great product but manual needs improve for clarification and misspelling.
The installation supposed to be very easy if the manual/instruction is spelled all correctly which is unfortunately not the case.Once I sort out all the confusion and get the product installed, the product works good. I switched between the original WIFI and the WIFI signal from this product, it "repeat" pretty well. However the speed from this product is 1/3 slower than the original wifi. I plugged this product to another floor where the signal used to be weak, now I can see a big improvement by using this product. Thumbs up!
