Better than I'd hoped!
I was a bit trepidatious about using this but had to try something as I needed to remove the dark purple colour I had put on my dark blonde with grey hair. I had also built up quite a few layers of other colours underneath. It's not difficult to use but it is a bit of a faff. (To be fair that is probably true of colour removers in general!) It recommends reading the instructions twice before you start and I would definitely echo that. The main stuff is a bit smelly but not at all unbearable (and I am very sensitive to smells) but the other lotions and potions smell quite pleasant. One thing that was surprising was that when I washed off the colour remover part I expected the water to run quite murky but it was totally clear. Slight panic at that point in case it hadn't worked! When the moment of truth arrived at the end of the process I was actually amazed - there was no sign of the purple or other colours left in my hair. It was totally back to normal, albeit an awful lot greyer than I remembered! This wasn't as expensive as some of the colour removers but it seems to have worked really well and the smell isn't too bad. I would definitely buy it again.

Did not work - don't waste your money
I have been colouring my hair for years and have used a wide range of brands. I never had a problem until I used Age Perfect for the first time. The colour I chose was warm golden brown and the colour shown on the pack looked attractive and very similar to previous colours I have used. However my hair did not turn out to be "warm golden brown". The colour I got was very dark - almost black. My hair is long and my fringe and around my hairline turned out slightly lighter but the rest, especially the ends were, as I have said, almost black. Other than get my hair cut short, I didn't know what to do. I tried using a lighter colour but this had no effect. I came across this product and decided to give it a try. It was quite a lengthy, laborious process which I followed to the letter and I left the product on for the maximum time stated. It had no effect whatsoever! My fringe and my hairline which have most grey, remained grey with bright ginger ends. It looked horrendous and the rest of my hair was as dark as ever. I momentarily thought about buying another pack and trying again but the first application had so little effect that I did not feel that it was worth trying it. I have to wait at least 7 days before colouring my hair again and during that period I have to wash my hair at least 3 times. I am currently going through this process. In the meantime I am wearing my hair in a tight bun and I am also wearing a broad hairband. I am spraying my fringe and hairline with Root Perfect which is a temporary spray for touching up roots. In this way I am managing to look reasonably presentable until I colour my hair again. Unfortunately when I colour my hair again, although I will chose a lighter colour, it will not colour all the dark hair I have been left with. This product was a total disappointment and I would advise you not to waste your money.

Awesome product! Recommended :D
Really great product. Yes it smells but all colour removers smell bad! Like eggs and bad farts. You can’t avoid this. But the job it did was awesome! I had bleach blonde hair, dyed it red, dyed it brown, it faded so I dyed it again but it didn’t take evenly, I put a pink wash over it and it went a weird purple. I HATED it. Used this and it’s back to a light brown and it didn’t lift my regrowth at all which is great because I’m growing it out :) I’d absolutely use this again, I got two boxes because my hair is about bra strap length and kind of thick. Once I rinsed off the product I shampooed it and then applied the conditioner provided and left it on while showering. Also make sure you’re using as hot as you can handle while rinsing as this helps remove the colour molecules! Included photos are of when I dyed it and it didn’t take evenly, after I put a pink wash over it and then tonight during processing and how the colour looks now. It’s also very soft feeling.

It did lighten my hair but not enough!
I had a bad home diy balayage that was growing out (picture with the red jumper) and I’ve had a hard time matching my root colour with different 4.0 colours, even from the same brand name. They all came out as different shades of brown with hot roots galore so I decided to go for a darker colour to blend it all out. It was 3.0 supposedly semi permanent but it was soo dark it was almost black and far too dark for my skin. It did blend out most of the colour issues though. So I decided to use this colour remover. I followed the instructions and left it on for an hour under a shower cap with a towel wrapped over it to keep it warm. I then did the treatment in the same way for half an hour. My hair is lighter, but not as light as I would like so I am considering doing it again with a heat hood and my hairdryer. The greys are somehow not very noticeable and the permanent root touch up that I have been using most months for over a year seems to have come out and my hair is redder at the roots. The mask really improved the condition of my hair but it has straightened out my curl pattern. It was 2C/ 3a but now seems to be 2a/b. If you are wanting to strip our colour you can expect it to take out some but I haven’t had anything like the results promised by the marketing. Which is probably a good thing as it put me off using it for fear of looking like a banchee! All in all it has helped and not damaged my hair (improved it) and it’s an awful lot cheaper than the hairdresser - she wants £100 for colour removal on top of the cost of colouring it. The smell is bearable but the worst thing is you can’t colour it for a week after using the colour remover, except for certain temporary dyes (a standard semi permanent is no good).

doesn’t work on red hair
i’m not denying that this product doesn’t work, because by looking at the reviews, it seems really good… however it doesn’t seem to lift permanent vibrant red hair. i followed the instructions exactly, and even repeated the process twice, but to no avail. i’ve ordered another hair dye remover specifically for red hair now, but i think this was most likely my mistake as i simply guessed it would work for any colour. for reference, i am naturally ginger, and i’ve had problems with hair dye before where it either stays for way too long or doesn’t stick to the colour of my hair, but i have used a different hair dye remover before (ordered this one as i cant remember the brand of the one i used) and it has worked. basically, just make sure you get a dye remover that will definitely work for your colour of hair. i’ve seen in the reviews that this particular product is great for removing dark natural colours, so i’d say go for it if that’s your colour and you wanna strip it! (It doesn’t smell that nice by the way. it’s not unbearable, but sort of gives off a burnt plasticy smell… I can imagine the scent will be gone in a couple washes though)

Couldn't have asked for better
I picked the wrong colour dye for my roots and ended up with very bright red on my Auburn hair. This stuff stinks something chronic but it worked brilliantly and removed all the colour with no issue at all. I was worried by hair would feel like straw after but after using a deep conditioner it was absolutely fine.

This did not even take the black dye out of hair I wouldn’t recommend it rubbish

Does work, but my god the smell!!
OK so this does work pretty well but I probably wouldn't use it again. Here's why: I went from bleached orange to a very deep purple/burgandy (non permanent) with black ombre roots (permanent). I decided it was a bit dark and wanted to remove it. The kit comes like a box dye with two bottles you have to mix together. The stuff you have to mix into the one bottle is extremely thick and quite difficult to get it all out of the bottle. The worst bit is, this stuff STINKS. I'm NOT sensitive to smells but my god.. It's rotten eggs on steroids. The smell filled the whole room within about ten seconds. I couldn't eat or drink when it was on because I kept gagging, I'm not joking its bad. I washed it out after 45mins, I noticed that my hair was very very dry. It tells you to comb through the hair whilst washing out but I couldn't, my hair was that dry and tangled. The balm you get for after however helped with this. Its very nice, in fact I'd love it if they sold it as a mask. I'd say a decent 80% of the colour is gone so it does work and is gentler than bleaching. I'm back to ginger with a slight pink tinge, the black roots however have just faded to brown, so it didn't exactly remove the black permanent colour even though it said it would. Unfortunately my hair still absolutely stinks of rotten egg. I spent the whole night with a bad headache and felt very sick. I'm about to redye it now so hopefully that gets rid of it. I would recommend if you absolutely cannot bleach as like I said it does work, but seriously, you can't prepare yourself for the smell. I'm not at all exaggerating. For this reason I'd be very hesitant to use again. Also quite annoyed as I put it in my basket at 6.99 then two days later it was 8.99?

Funktioniert super

Odore molto molto forte. Prodotto efficace.
Ovviamente resteranno i capelli “ossigenati” dalle varie tinture.
