Brought this for my mother for her 70th birthday. She has always wanted one and absolutely loves it. Her husband is not so keen on the constant chiming but my mother loves it. You can turn the chiming off or just set it for hourly intervals though. It was easy to put together. It came packaged well and it is made of quality materials. It looks lovely in her livingroom and I would recommend this one to everyone that is looking for one. I was slightly dubious when I read the reviews that some people's weren't working or came damaged. My mothers did not so I am assuming that they were just unlucky as you can't expect every package they sent to arrive in perfect condition if you sending so many but ours was beautifully packaged and arrived really quick.

Very satisfied with the clock - just what I wanted. Music playing after the hourly cuckoo appearance is optional - we turned it off after a couple of weeks. The reason that the clock does not always make the cuckoo noises seems to be that it has a light sensor. During hours of darkness the cuckoo pops out, detects that it is dark and just makes a muted noise once and goes back inside. I actually find this a great feature. If I am having an early night I don't want twelve cuckoo noises at midnight. It has kept time perfectly and been entirely reliable. It is also light and easy to fit over a nail or hook. Happy to recommend this item.

A very easy to set up and high quality clock. Looks great and the soind quality out of it is great.

Love this clock. It's good value and looks good. If you can't afford a genuine cuckoo clock then this is ideal. The only reason it didn't get a 5 is because of the annoying tune it can play at strike time. I can't see the point of it personally but at least you can turn it off. So genuine score would be closer to a 5.

Love it but it’s very loud. Also much smaller than expected and too expensive considering it doesn’t even have a volume control

This was bought on behalf of my dad for my mums birthday. She was presented with it this morning and was totally thrilled with it. Having looked at it myself, it is beautifully painted and well constructed. Glad I went with the higher end of the budget as I think the lesser priced plastic ones might not have been as nice. This one is made of wood and is painted on all sides, even underneath and at the back. It was easy to construct and set time. The cuckoo is brilliant and will sound the amount of time foe the time, ie: twice at 2pm, five times at 5pm etc. Great all round clock !!!

Just what I was looking for it Goes very well against the kintrot clock my Daughter bought me for my birthday excellent value for the money

Am in the process of returning a second one of these. On the first one the cuckoo failed to pop out on the hour when the sound played. It is well made, if overpriced, so thought I may have been unfortunate so ordered a second one, having returned the first. The second one however had the exact same problem. It’s a lovely clock but the whole point is the cuckoo and if that part fails to function it just a boring old piece of wood and plastic. Have requested that Amazon insist that this item is removed from sale till quality can be assured. Very disappointing!

Le design n'est pas trop mal, mais le .mécanisme est excessivement bruyant et cela ne correspond en rien à la qualité allemande. Je conçois que vu le prix il ne faut pas s'attendre à du haut de gamme mais je me refuse d'offrir un tel objet que l'on pourrait trouver dans une pochette surprise.

If it would 12” hight house it is better , hanging is not perfect it is plastic. Overall it would s good
