It’s really light, pretty small and works great! The remote works perfectly also. Although it’s not blu ray, it works for what I needed/could afford at this time until I buy a blu ray one for my apartment as well. It was really easy to set up to my tv. The sound quality is also great. I turned up my tv volume then turned the volume up higher from the dvd player remote. If you’re on a budget like me, I would recommend this dvd player. I only have one dvd series to test until my others come in the mail, but so far it’s great! I tested it out on my projector and it works with that as well! I added a picture of it

I got this DVD player recently, and it’s been awesome! I love watching old movies, and this makes them look way better on my TV. The picture is super clear, and it plays all my DVDs, even some from other countries. Setting it up was really easy, just plug in the HDMI cable and it’s ready to go. I also like that I can change the playback speed, which is fun when I want to slow down action scenes. Another cool thing is that it plays music CDs too, so I can use it to listen to my favorite albums. The USB port is a nice bonus because I can watch videos from a flash drive. It’s small but works really well, and I haven’t had any problems with it. If you’re looking for a simple good quality DVD player, I totally recommend this one!

This fit the bill for my purpose as a single CD player for music. It replaced a multi-disk CD player for which I never knew what discs were loaded or in what slot they were in. Frustrating. I like that it came with the USB power block, all the cables, and a remote control. Easy setup, worked perfectly, and sounds great through my Klipsch bookshelf speakers. I can't comment on video performance as that is not my intended use. A couple of minor nits. Wish it had a 'next track' button on the unit instead of having to use the remote. Also would like the track number to display continuously on the display, but it does flash the track number every 30 seconds. This was one-tenth the price of the larger name brand dedicated CD players. This may not have the features and higher end DAC circuitry but certainly meets my needs for now.

Good product

I bought this dvd player in 2021, it is now 2026 and it still works great and plays dvds from any region. I am buying a second one just to have as a backup, plus the player is still incredibly cheap ($32) so it's a great deal. I really like the compact size too and it stores nicely in the box it came with whenever I have to pack it or move.

After 15 months of light use, this DVD started glitching. It stops playing a DVD in the middle of the video. At that point the DVD completely locks up and the remote doesn't work. To reset you have to unplug the power and replug. At that point the DVD will restart where left off. The bad news it will only last about 8 minutes before you have to start this process again. Since I can't return, I basically have a brick of a DVD and have to purchase another one. Because of this issue I would NOT recommend this DVD. Purchased February 14, 2024 and it broke May 6, 2026

Amazon delivered this Tojock DVD multimedia player about 10 minutes ago. After unpacking (one minute) it required only that I plug in the Tojack power cord into a wall outlet and the provided cord from the plug opening labelled "High Res" on the DVD player (lower white arrow on my photo) into the HDMI type outlet opening on the TV where the former DVD had been plugged in. (That's the upper arrow in photo. I did not need to plug in any of the colored jacks to access sound. Just the wall plug and the one other connection. Since the Tojack only has one semi-USB looking access hole in back you can't mix that up. My TV (a Proscan fairly standard flat screen) with only about three possible places to plug in the DVD wire in the back of the TV makes it pretty easy to figure out the correct connection into the TV. With respect to the operation of the DVD, everything is simple. It has the usual operations (fast forward, back or forward by chapter, etc.) I have yet to try playing family home videos from my flash drives because mine are all over 16 GB and I recall the ad for this DVD indicated that it could not operate drives over 16 GB (mine are 32 GB). I have played parts of several DVDs including some old ones that, when put in the DVD player I just replaced, would skip around or just stop playing. The Tojack seems to be able to run right through the scratchiest areas on a DVD and still produce a good picture. So far this looks like it's a fine DVD player for the money.

ADDENDUM: Tojock service actually read my review and contacted me to “make it right” explaining that occasionally a bad unit gets out. They offered to send a new machine and, as a gift, a 16GB Stick. I wrote back and told them that I was too ill to return the item, I thanked them for their attention and told them the replacement wasn’t necessary. They wrote back and said that I didn’t have to return the damaged unit and they insisted that they send a replacement. Five days later it arrived. They have shown decency and diligence. This attention is rare in today’s market. This company deserves your attention. I have subsequently learned that this is a unit that will play from any region on the planet. If you have made the mistake of purchasing DVDs from region two, which occasionally happens because one of the distributors fails to make it clear, Then this is a DVD player for you. As a result I have added two additional stars to my review. My original review begins below: I almost have no words to express how deeply dissatisfied I am with this Tojock DVD player. I did not choose it because of its reasonable price, but rather because it was “Amazon‘s choice.“ Up until now that small label in the upper left-hand corner has been very important to me. But never again. On top of that you’ll note that there are a lot of positive reviews. I can only assume that these reviews were written within 24 hours of installation. Either that or they were written by relatives of the manufacturer. All DVD players wear out with time, but I purchased this just two weeks ago and already I find myself having to jump ahead on disks because the laser has frozen. I am certain that it is not because of flaws in the disks, first of all it has happened on multiple discs, but more importantly the disks that I’ve attempted to play are brand new. I shouldn’t be surprised given the that the unit groans, grumbles, and moans as it plays (or doesn’t play as is the case). I would go into further detail except that none of it matters; as of this moment I have waited 23 minutes with the same image frozen on my screen. And this is just one of many very frustrating episodes with the worst DVD player I have ever encountered. Don’t bother.

Das Gerät ist erstaunlich wertig, liest auch ältere, verkratzte DVDs sehr gut. Das HD-Upscaling ist ebenfalls qualitativ gut. DVDs mit Region 1 werden auch anstandslos gelesen. Einzig der Sound ist etwas leise über HDMI, man muss den Fernseher ziemlich laut stellen. Alles in allem bin ich mit dem Gerät sehr zufrieden, fraglich wie langlebig es am Ende ist, aber das wird die Zeit zeigen.

Works a treat, very robust

This is an excellent DVD player in many ways. Compact in size, easy to set up, well made. This is a 10 out of 10.
