Is this paper transparent enough, so I can see a drawing under another sheet without using a lightbox?

Hard to tell Perhaps if you use just 2 sheets at a time but I would say it’s almost as transparent as printer paper Course you could always hold it against a window

Not usually - animation paper is very thin and can really only hold pencil and pen. You can still paint on it, but the water might go through the paper moreso than usual.
