Wide width for comfort with bunion
Oboz sawtooth are my fav hikers and Iโve been replacing them for many years as I wear them out. Size 9 med. This time I had to switch from med to wide width. I have a small bunion and couldnโt seem to break them in without pain in my foot. Happy to say the wide width gives more toe room without slipping in the back. Also opened the laces as far as possible.

Comfortable, true to size, stable hiking shoe
I have worn them for the last week while walking the dogs (about 2 miles) to break them in. They fit well, donโt move around and are comfortable. I ordered a 7.5 as I expect to have slightly thicker socks on at times. I normally wear a 7 or 7.5, depending upon the shoe. I like the look and havenโt had any blisters. They are sturdy. My only small complaint would be like so many hiking boots, they are a little heavy. But that truly is a minor issue. I often have issues with rubbing my ankle bone and leaving a blister. No issues with these boots. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase.

STURDY AND SUPPORTIVE
These are fantastic shoes, which is why they are hard to find in your right size. I ended up with the pastel lilac color as I didn't want brown and there were no other colors in my size. I have been pleasantly surprised with how much I like the color. The shoe itself is more of a dark grey with a green tint, the webbing is a wee bit lighter gray/green than the leather, and the touches of lilac are quite small but just the right bit of extra color. The heel and sole are super firm and rugged with the collar and tongue next to the ankle a bit softer. They were comfortable from the beginning. I normally wear a size 8-8.5 or Euro 39. I have skinny feet and long toes (which seem to be getting longer!). The 8.5 was a decent fit, but I worried about jamming my toes, especially with heavier socks. I lost toenails with my last shoes so I upsized to size 9. While a wee bit long, they fit my arch and I would rather wear heavier socks than lose my toenails! I've got them nearly completely laced together. The insole (in lilac) is also very sturdy with good arch support. With all of the sturdiness built in, they are not a lightweight shoe and definitely not good for running. Walking and hiking are fine. They are definitely worth the spendy price for my aging legs.

Out-of-the-box to 5.2-mile hike
I bought these hiking shoes for a trip to Zion National Park, without much prep. So, without breaking them in at all, aside from trying them on the day before boarding an airplane to Utah, these were fresh out-of-the-box for a long day of hiking. I was really impressed by the performance of the shoes. My first hike of the trip was Angels Landing, a 5.2-mile round trip with 1,500 feet of elevation gain. I have a lot of trouble with closed toe shoes, but my feet felt surprising fresh after said hike. The shoes did feel 'tight' at first so I was really nervous my feet would be in bad shape, but the tightness never became uncomfortable, and instead seemed to really support my feet, while keeping them in place for the long decline after making it to the top. I did get blisters by the end of the day, but TBH that was to be expected with any new pair of shoes. Also, as well as being water-proof, these were sand-proof!

Really disappointed!
I really want to love these low hikers but I just can't. I had a pair a couple years ago in women's size 8.5 wide. They seemed to be a tad too small so this time I ordered size 9 wide. This pair is so much bigger it's ridiculous. It feels like an entire size larger, not just a half size. When I wear these on a rocky or uneven trail my heels get so sore I do not want to wear them again for a couple days. They are super hard-soled,so if you're walking on blacktop or sidewalks you don't want to go for long distances. Not sure if there is a long break-in period or if it's just the shoes. I'm returning them. So disappointed, I probably won't buy another pair.

Good support
These shoes are very supportive but a little firm on the inside and a little heavy. I have foot pain but like to hike and it's hard to find a shoe that offers good support but is soft on the inside for comfort. These are nice shoes but I can't wear them for long because of the inside firmness. Only short walks with these shoes then home into my Brooks.

sturdy shoes
I love the "wide" option -- they fit well and have a very sturdy sole. I walk a lot on trails with sharp rocks, they have stood up extremely well.
