Minnetonka Women's Kilty Suede Hardsole Moccasin

Firstly, I almost returned these. I started the return, then cancelled when I realized the LACES ARE FUNCTIONAL. I am so used to bows and ties being aesthetic only! They took some effort to tighten up, but they are acceptable now. My true size is 8.5 Wide, so that's what I ordered. They are wide, overall, but not as much in the toe box as I'd hoped, still okay. I thought they were too wide from arch to heel at first, until I tightened the laces a bit. I wouldn't be able to size down really. The length is right. And I don't think the toe box would fit me in a medium width, so it's these or nothing. I hope they don't stretch too much because they'll flop off if they do. I loved the pair of Minnetonka moccasins I had in my 20s and hope these last. The wide width is great if you have big ankles. They offer a ton of room in that department. Mine are narrow, but I have a wide instep. These *juuuuust* work in my case. They are SO SOFT and flexible. I love the barefoot feel and it's really healthy for your foot. They are so breathable and easy to slip on. I recommend treating them with a suede protector and getting a brush, shampoo/cleaner, and conditioner in general - all suede specific products. Brush them weekly to monthly to clean. Wash according to the bottle directions when soiled. Yes, you can wash suede this way with specialized products, but be weary of dampening any adhesive. They should last a long, long time. Keep them away from moisture and out of the rain.

True to size but leans a bit more narrow than the houseshoe type mocs. Wear almost daily!

I have debated buying these shoes for a long time. They sat in my wishlist I know for a good 2 years. I finally broke down and bought them when the price dipped to $23. I am so glad I did. They are extremely comfortable to me. I love wearing flat, slip on shoes and wanted to branch out from my usual ballerina type ones. I followed the suggestion of the other reviewers and ordered a half size down. After a couple of days of stretching and molding to my foot they are a perfect fit. I wear these everywhere and always get compliments on them. They look good with or without socks. I got them in dusty brown and they are a beautiful medium chocolate brown color. I only have one complaint - the bows on the top of the shoe are always coming untied. I have no idea what I am doing to cause that because they are only there for decorative purposes only. Whenever I wear them all day, I have zero problems with them and even forget I am wearing them because they are so comfortable ... yet when I take them off at night my feet will throb. My husband tells me maybe they're not as comfortable as I think! So those two things you may bear in mind when purchasing. I love these shoes and plan on buying them in more colors and maybe even toy with getting a pair of soft sole ones to wear around the house in!

Shoes arrived sooner than originally said they would arrive. I bought a size 7 for my daughter and they fit her perfect (she wears a size 7 to a 71/2). My daughter is blessed to narrow feet she can fit in to any shoe without issues. I, on the other hand, have wide Fred Flintstone feet. These shoes would be too narrow for me. The leather quality of the shoe is great, the style is perfect for what my daughter wanted, and the shoes are very comfortable. My daughter wears them constantly. I will be a returning customer

I recently purchased two pairs of Minnetonka Moccasins, both pairs were far to large. I was told to size up one 1/2 size. because this shoe runs small. I then placed a second order for one pair of Moccasins in my actual shoe size. When I took my first order ( two pairs ) of Moccasins to the UPS for my return to Minnetonka, I was charged $38.00 for postage!!! I have now received my second pair of Moccasins ( in my correct size, ) and the fit is quite sloppy at best. Sloppy, as the sides of the shoe are quite loose, while the toe and heel are the correct fit. My foot slips out of the shoe as I walk. I will not be returning this pair- because the postage is far to expensive. I realize that everyone's foot varies in shape and size, however, I have never experienced a shoe with this type of fit before. I hope to help others avoid having the same type of frustrations with orders through Minnetonka. If you do order these Moccasins & need to return them, open your wallet wide for postage.

Beware of knock off. See pictures for variations (print on inside of shoe, wrapping paper, and underside of lid) between authentic and knock off versions. Size varies slightly per shoe due to shoes being handmade. Size 6.5 fits well in authentic black pair and 6.5 fits looser in authentic brown pair. I am normally purchasing other shoes in a size 7 which gives me plenty of toe room and does not flip off my feet. I am 30 weeks pregnant and the black and brown are not true to size (6.5M per the provided sizing guide given the length of my feet in inches). Prior to ordering I pulled out the ruler and measured my feet and selected my size per the provided sizing guide. Visibly, the authentic 6.5 brown pair had a sharper taper at the toe than the authentic 6.5 black pair. This sharper taper makes the brown pair a bit looser. The authentic 6.5 black pair fits more comfortably than the authentic 6.5 brown pair. I GENTLY tightened the bow on the authentic 6.5 brown pair and it fits a bit more snug. I tightened the bow on the authentic 6.5 brown pair because it was loose on the insides and outsides of my feet. This caused large gaps between the shoes and my feet. Tightening the bow brought the sides of the shoe closer to my feet and was an acceptable fit. I did order a half size smaller in an authentic brown, a size 6, to compare the fit. The 6.5 authentic brown will work while I am pregnant with swollen feet, but the authentic 6 brown will work better after pregnancy and my feet aren't swollen. As far as comfort these feel nice. I am unable to add inserts to accommodate my heel pain, but that's okay. They do not rub my feet to cause blisters and I love the style. I'd definitely recommend these to other pregnant soon to be mamas with a warning to check for authenticity.

Fit like a glove. Very stable when walking.

Der Schuh ist weich, sitzt gut, aber natürlich ziemlich eng am Fuß, was mir aber so gefällt, weil er sonst bei dieser Schuhform nicht am Fuß halten würde. Die Sohle ist schön dünn, aber robust genug auch für unebenes Gelände. Man läuft mit gutem Erdkontakt (fast wie bei Barfußschuhen), aber dennoch ist die Sohle genug gepolstert, so dass nicht jeder kleine Stein zu spüren ist. Wie der Schuh sich bei Regen und nassem Gelände macht, konnte ich noch nicht ausprobieren mangels Regen, aber ich denke mit einem Schutzspray gegen Nässe müsste er auch Herbst-tauglich sein (bei dieser Farbe, nebelgrau, auch so geplant von mir).
