The Art of the Last of Us Part II

This book has great quality paper alongside highly detailed art that promt the game The Last of Us 2. Some art included within this book show a much different beginning than the one we saw first. If you ever purchase this book, take a look at page 159, where Abby wouldn't have killed Joel right away but infiltrate his life. The art sparks many different ideas as to how the game would have looked like and played out, however this idea was only an initial which was dropped. The concept art we find within this book has details as to what was the initial idea, right next to it we would see art from the game at hand. I have to personally say that concept art for Ellie and Jesse show the most change from the starting idea to the end result. There's not much to mention other than the art for the background, art that inspired every location the game takes you, such art shows in detail how each place thrived and continued 'living' even after the apocalypse. Not to mention the amount of design that went into the background such as the shops we encounter within the game (cups, flyers, logos and so on). I included two photos of the book, but I won't include any photos of the art within it. FYI, this book presents somewhat gruesome art too.

This book is amazing and very good quality and details. Purchased as a gift for my daughter and she absolutely loves it. Very happy with my purchase. The quality of pictures is beautiful. Truly a beautiful book. A must for any TLOU fans!

There is so much to say about The Last Of Us Part II from the gameplay and mechanics to the absolutely stunning visuals that Naughty Dog created to make this game exactly what it is. So, being able to access a (HUGE) book of images to showcase the concept sketches for scenes, character designs and the world building is phenomenal. Although it's definitely more pictures than words, thats exactly what the book is for. Each page gives us exactly what we want to see. Beautiful artworks that truly create a perfect post-apocolyptic society.

Bought for a Friend as a gift. He said the hardback finish was great, art was gorgeous and he loves using it as reference or inspiration for his own projects or just to have as pride of place on his shelf. If you're a big TLOU fan or love game art, this is a must have.

The book is amazing and a great item to own for fans of Last of Us. The book is great quality with many pages of concept artwork from the game. It’s best to play the game first before looking through the book because it contains scenes, sets, characters and events from the game from start to finish. This book is great to have in your collection or bookshelf.

Loved the game and the book was so good too!

Volume arrivato in condizioni perfette, nonostante la totale assenza di imbottiture tra libro e cartone. Solo la classica pellicola trasparente. Un po' rischioso. Il contenuto delle pagine ripercorre tutta l'avventura in ordine cronologico, soffermandosi di tanto in tanto sull'aspetto dei personaggi principali e di alcuni nemici. A dimostrazione che non sono loro il piatto forte dell'opera può stonare un po' la quasi totale assenza di disegni sugli infetti, anche se a onor del vero li avevamo già visti nella raccolta precedente. Mancano completamente i dettagli su armi o accessori vari (parte che solitamente guardo poco). Non ci sono immagini a tutta pagina ma tanti magnifici disegni in ottima definizione impaginati in modo ordinato. I testi compaiono solo per l'introduzione ed alcune didascalie. Può sembrare che manchi qualcosa ma la scelta di non affrontare i contenuti per temi ma bensì per ordine di apparizione rende quest'artbook perfetto per ripercorrere il gioco senza necessariamente rigiocarlo tutto.

I am a big fan of this game, so I bought this book without reading reviews, and only later I saw that many people mentioned murky colors. Unfortunately it's true, it could be such a great book of colors of illustrations would be more bright.
